The Rocket Change was a very intentional move to get CVs to do other things then sit on Destroyers.

Some Skip Bombs are certainly a threat, but here's a lesson on the best weapon against destroyers for a CV:

I was willing to accept a newer player not knowing what a Smolensk was, but the way the thread developed really does have that Under a Bridge smell to it.

Locked for sanity.

Mostly "Enhanced Reactions" allows for a more intuitive Fighter playstyle. The "2 second latch time" is not intuitive to most players, I think.

Interceptor does increase the Patrol Range, so that does allow them to have more area of influence. Also, your Fighters can't just be baited off by Patrol Fighters, which is nice.

Air Superiority-Only isn't offered with any current CV design. All CVs in the game have strike potential.

The question is about choosing flight paths which take you across areas needing Fighter support drops while on the way to strike targets. This multi-objective pathing can be quite hard to work on the fly.

The Skip Bombers on the Bearn are the most accurate in the game. They're weaker and only hit for 2k non-saturated per hit, but you can land 4 on a Tier 6 DD reliably if you have a broadside.

Just a note of warning, the AA Mechanics on that video are outdated. Continuous Damage are goes into the last plane in the formation until it's down, then moves to the next.

It's a small difference, but it's a BIG difference in gameplay.

Primarily the extreme tankiness/low chance of punishing the ship are the biggest highlights. The addition of Radar and very potent AP are also large factors that must be considered.

If you want an actual conversation about the strengths of the ship, you can listen to a long form discussion here:

Actually, Fighters have been a real threat since the beginning of this year.

Fighters were Standardized to have enough speed to overtake and kill planes, which was a massive help.

Commander Skills allowed Fighter-spec'ing which increased their threat a LOT

Since the Fighter Standardization and Talents, I've run Fighter builds through Ranked as well as Clan Battles. The support style play is a lot of fun, but it's very hard to pull off. Especially when your surface assets are behind/losing... then you're forced to stop locking up the enemy CV while you're team is already at a deficit.

It's a Thematic Camo.

It's a novelty/thematic item which gives a non-standard look for your ship if you'd like to purchase that. Cosmetics are often a sale item in Free-to-Play games as revenue generators.

Yeah, this is definitely the time for folks to grab it if they need it!

A few responses:

1) We have entire teams of Data Analysts that parse and analyze data. We do internal QA, Testing, Polling, and Feedback Collection. Feedback Collection is part of my job as a Community Interface point. Yes, it's certainly hard to process all of this information, but it's something that we do employ a fair amount of people to assist with.

2) "Subs are inherently boring" - This has two responses.

a) Not all games are fast. You've likely noticed X or Y player complaining about island hugging, camping, or staying-in-the-back. Some players have learned that 12 enemy ships alive on the enemy team means Going In Early = Death.

-- You have an Early Game where shots are traded and positions are claimed.
-- A Mid-game where attrition starts seeing ships sunk and flanks begin to break up or move.
-- A Late-game where damage ships try to make pushes or last stands.

Luck can certainly be part of any team you get matched with, but the ability for skilled folks to Rank Out sprint after sprint remains.

My best suggestion is to play off the team you have, not the team you wish you had. Plays and opportunities can be found in almost every match (I DID say almost~). In general, solid play will win more than it loses.

Just a point to consinder.

When 20 people say, "I don't like this". An outsider listens to that and thinks, "I guess they don't like something"

That outsider doesn't know the context, or even if they're all talking about the same thing.

While I've played this game for years, there's a massive difference between me reading someone saying, "I don't like this" and interpreting what that means for them based on my own experiences... and simply asking them to type a longer response that actually SAYS their issue.

---

You may read other posts and thinks, "Yeah man, this guy gets it! This is what I wanted to say!"... then reply to that post and say that you have the exact same thoughts.

You may read other posts and think someone's on the right track, but they aren't explaining why YOU do/don't like something. In which case, please speak up.

There's a big di...

So your investment in any and all Tier 8 and below ships is separate, because they are all capable of being up-tiered by more than one tier.

However, Tier 9 and 10 are special because they are different in that respect, and you feel that to change that is to go against your understanding at the time of purchase?

This is the sole issue?

Then please describe your issue with those.

Neither is the "power of the ship", so it really comes down to personal preference.

So if Tier 11 Service Costs were the same or similar to Tier 10, then you'd have no issues?

I can certainly understand the confusion~

Holidays are both a BUSY time, and an UNDERSTAFFED time~ It's Holidays for us just like everyone else, so some folks are out of the office and the cogs can be a bit harder to crank!

"Gold Ammo" is an easier terminology to work with.

So, I'll ask again. Can you consider Tier 10 to be "Gold Ammo" in respect to Tier 9s? 8s? What if you load into an all Tier 10 match?

Please do me a favor and submit a Customer Support Ticket. Maybe there's something on their end they can see.

I'll seek an answer on my end in the meantime. I'll probably hear back tomorrow as it's rather late in the day.

Don't worry, Co-Op is a great play to blow off Snowflakes and learn how to attack~

Also, Operations are a great tool for learning as well. All Tier 6 Operations allow a CV.
