Where are you seeing that stuff about texture.png? I don't see that file on my system.

And, when you did the clean reinstalls did you delete the Documents/paradox interactive/ck3/ folder as well?

We are aware of the issue that's currently affecting some customers. We're looking into it but sadly have no estimate on when it will be sorted. For now though what you could try is the following:

1. Disconnect from the internet
2. Start the launcher and sign out (if you're still signed in)
3. Reconnect and see if the launcher loads as normal (we think the issue is the account login part)

If it doesn't, then running the .exe file from the installation directory or running the game whilst offline is the current workaround until we have it fixed.

Sorry about that!

The same applies to your info, I'm afraid, no smoking gun in there. The same questions ...

And do you see this in HOI4 and CK2 also?

Already did all of this, but to give you those clean files, i did it again.

1. Unsubbed all mods
2. Uninstall the game
3. deleted all those folders
4. reinstalled the game
5. verified game files
6. checked Windows defender, stellaris.exe is on the list

FYI i also never modded CK2 so i dont think its a mod issue.

I really hope you are able fix this problem. This stuff really prevents people who have this issue from enjoying the things you guys added to the game...

Borderless should use the refresh rate of your Windows desktop, I've just tested it and it does for me.

In any case right click on stellaris.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations", apply and exit.

The repair tool did find something broken and succesfully managed to repair it, but didn't tell me what was broken to begin with.

When I get the 0xc000007b error message it only says that the application has failed to launch.
MS seem to have lost those pages somehow. You can get the same two installers at .../steam/steamapps/common/steamworks shared/_CommonRedist/vcredist/2010/

In the game launcher please set Display mode to Borderless.

THEN go here:

Did those 6 Microsoft installers i listed all go okay, seem to do anything? Any errors?

Did the repair tool find anything to fix?

When you get the oxc000007b error does it mention a particular DLL?

So many errors in that log! I can only assume they are mostly from mods. Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere, and user_empire_designs.txt from /Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ if you have made any custom empires or races.
- "uninstall" in Steam-Stellaris
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folders
In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add stellaris.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

The load or start a galaxy with no mods are all, and see if you still have th eproblem. If not please attach new coies of ... Read more

It doesnt matter which galaxy size, there is always a stutter at the beginning of a new ingame day which looks and feels terrible. Space battles and overall ship movement feel like a diashow. Its like in OP´s video, but getting much worse the further the game progresses.
Has this always happened with this game for you? Or it was okay up to some point?

Yes, the game is not detecting any audio device despite them being there in dxdiag. I suspect that 'dsound' audio target will point them to the right place.

I'd pass on that error message, and make it clear this is not a known problem with the game but unique to your machine.

Good luck!

That error is almost always a missing or bad Microsoft DLL.

Please Install ALL these Microsoft modules:

This is certainly a mod issue. Disabling mods does not remove effects they have already had on a save game file, I expect if you start a new unmodded galaxy you will not see this.

If so post a list of your mods in the User Mods forum, I'm surely they'll know which one causes this.

good luck!

I don't think it does happen to everyone every week, not sure why it is different in your case. I can imagine it being triggered by a mod, launcher or game update - did any of those occur at the latest time this happened to you?
