I see you have Vsync off - can you try capping the refreshRate at 60 please? This is done in the game launcher.

Try updating that AMD driver to the May 2020 one:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
I don't see anything else in there of concern unfortunately.

Does disabling autosaves change anything?

No obvious issue in the dxdiag, but many many errors in that log. Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign - NOT any existing one

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

Is that any better?

Sorry but it looks like the 1.1.x patches are very fussy on meeting the minimum hardware requirements, and I'm afraid this machine falls short in both CPU and GPU.

If you are on Steam, revert to the 1.03 patch in the Steam Betas tab for this game.

Your COU is a tad under the minimum requirements, I'm starting to see a few cases like this today - both Intel and AMD.
UserBenchmark: Intel Celeron G3930 vs Core i3-2120 I suspect the 1.1.x patches are fussier about meeting the minimums. If you revert to the 1.03 game patch in the Steam Betas tab for the game, does that run okay?

Please update that nVidia driver:
Download Drivers | NVIDIA
Make sure you run the game from the beta Xbox app, not the MS store app

If still no good:
Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox/CK3/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

We can't move threads to Bug Reports as there is a forum to be filled out when you make a new thread there, to make sure all needed details are included.

Thanks and sorry for that problem!

Operating System Version:
MacOS 10.13.6 (64 bit)
While I'm not 100% sure this is the issue the game is only supported on 10.14 or better - any chance of trying an update?

Either way it's probably worthwhile doing a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ in the main game menu
3/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

If you turn off autosaves does that help at all?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Yaun87 said: I was under the impression 1.1.1 would feature better FPS since they fixed many issues, but my game is not as stable and the performance drop is pretty noticeable from 1.0.3. What did they change that has affected the frame rate so much? I would never dip below 50 fps even on speed 5 but now it's dropping hard to 40 and spiking back up which is rather distracting and uncomfortable to me.

StageJaded said: Hi there. After downloading the new patch, I’ve had a massive drop in performance of the game. It is stuttering and giving me really bad lag. I never had any issues on the previous patch. The game ran great.

I switched back over to the previous patch and loaded the game up; absolutely no issues. The game runs perfectly like before. Repatch back to 1.1.1; welcome back to lag town.

It is rather frustrating, as I have had zero issues with the game until this patch has dropped.

I can't see how it could disappear from your Steam account, that should have nothing to do with the game update. You are certain it was there? From where did you pre-order the game please?

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox/CK3/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.
