This bug requires a matching client and server update, we’re hoping to release it late this week. For a bug fix release where we do both client and server it’s important we get all major issues resolved for the update because of how the console certification process works.

Sorry this one isn’t as fast as we’d like to turn it around. Cheers.

Hey there, Overwatch 2 will ship on all platforms that we already ship Overwatch on. No need to worry. Cheers

And of course it happened during the event, so no free lootboxes. I already know nobody is going to get it back, but say something.

Hey there sorry we haven’t communicated out about this bug yet. We’re working on a fix for the bug and working to repair accounts that were affected. No eta but we’re actively working on it.

Also on the off chance you reply to this, is there a reason Sombra's hack colors are inconsistent?

Bug fix, my bad. Can you post examples of what is inconsistent and I’ll look it over with QA. Thanks

Hey there, this is the ID of the hotfix that is applied to the instance you’re connected to. Typically this value isn’t important to know, but occasionally we could ask about it if you were having a specific technical issue.

Hey there we've identified this bug and we're testing a fix now. We're looking to roll this out hopefully tomorrow as a server side only update.

Thank you very much for your report and the time you spent adding video. The video was incredibly helpful for us, it gave crucial clues like seeing the Sombra path through the door normally but all projectiles not going through.

Cheers

Your video wouldn’t load for me so I couldn’t see exactly what happened but the stuck message is shown if your client predicts you were hit by the pulse bomb. Sometimes your client will mispredict, usually this is due to network latency or some packet loss.

Cheers!

Hey there if you send me a private message here on Reddit with your Battle.net email and the new battle tag you want I’ll see if I can get it changed.

Also, if you don't mind, what kind of technology stack do you guys have apart from your homegrown solutions?

I passed the comment along, they appreciated the kind words, thanks!

There's a lot of technology that goes into Overwatch, we've given a few talks at GDC over the years, if you haven't checked those out I highly recommend it! They do a better job outlining our tech than I could do in a quick reddit post. :)

Hey there, our engineering team is around 50. We have a few groups within engineering including gameplay, server, engine, tools, and live ops (this is generalized a bit). The development team as a whole is bigger than 100 now, back when we shipped I think we had about 30 engineers.

The credits in game is a pretty easy way usually to get team size counts for most games.

Cheers!
