DD difference is a huge thing and it didn't kill the game.

You're welcome to your opinion, but I think you're panicking over imaginary fears. I'd take a unicum DD player on my team over a unicum Supership any day. DD's are absolutely critical to winning.

He does not have any enhanced skills, no.
The cost of the pack is mostly made up of the permaflage for the Chung-Mu as those cost more.

You're stating here that better players using Superships and Subs will kill the game. Why?

The assumption you're making is that Superships are too good and therefore good players using them means games won't be fun anymore. That's why he's telling you to provide evidence that the ships overperform, because you are implying that they're OP and he wants you to back that up with evidence.

We certainly do know. The devblogs are prepared at different times and with different publication schedules. A devblog may be started Mar.1 and named #300 but not published for a week or two while it is prepared. In the meantime, another devblog may be started as #301 and published before #300, making it look like they are "out of order".

I'm kidding. Look, we've said it over and over again that the MM does not factor in player skill. People have matches that are blowouts and that's frustrating win or lose. It's frustrating to ME, too! The simple fact is that the match-maker is neither designed nor intended to take player skill into account and that's that.

The best way you can affect your Win-Rate and prevent blow-outs is to work on YOU. The better you play, the more effectively you can affect the game. Blow-outs will still happen, but over time and many games you will see a difference.

Ship lines are conceptualized FAR in advance. They are then hinted at 6 months to a year in advance. Once the line reaches that point, it's going to happen because we aren't conducting a "Closed test" on them as a concept.
These support CV's are being tested as a CONCEPT. There are lots of other things tested as CONCEPTS as well. Changes to CV fighter vision. It's how things get tested.
Currently, we are letting you all know about some of the things we're testing for transparency - the thing that people wanted more of.

Keep that in mind.

You're not factoring in that hundreds of thousands of games are played per day.

A 3-man div of unicums is going to affect a match more significantly than a 3-man div of new players. I don't think you're suggesting that we remove divisions, are you?
Matchmaker does not factor in player-skill. Full stop.

If this thread is simply going to be a re-hash of tired tropes I'm going to shut it down. The game is not out to get you. Sometimes you have better players on your team and sometimes they're on the other team. It's easy to cherry-pick, but over time the games are evened by the nature of being random.


End of story.

The issue of "Team balance" has been addressed repeatedly. Not agreeing with our answer does not mean we're ignoring it.
The MM is RANDOM. It does not take player skill into account. People counter by pointing out that a division of unicums can be matched against a division of new players. This is true - and it does not change the fact that the match-maker only attempts to match divisions of 2 against divisions of 2, or divs of 3 against divs of 3. It does not take player skill into account.

You don't have to provide any feedback at all if you don't want to do so. It's purely voluntary.


MANY things that are closed-tested do not enter the game at all, or do so in an altered manner.
That's why it's closed testing.
