We suggested that and had a lot of player feedback that we should be there if we have news or not. It's difficult to please everybody and we talked pretty intensively internally about this.

Having State of the Game every week helps us stay connected with the streaming platforms, gives us a chance to chat with you and we think we always have small tidbits that are interesting. We do understand that not having big news every week is frustrating for some and that, as you put it, some would like a forum post instead then.

We're trying to do the best of both words by providing info on what we'll be talking about in State of the Game at least a day before or like today with a schedule for the next weeks.

Additionally, we do the weekly articles that recap most of the State of the Game topics and some other things we're working on. So if you do not like the streaming format there's other ways to keep informed.

We also understand that we just are not deliveri...

We have fixed this and on login you should now receive three keys for legacy caches.

Hey, agents! We're looking at this currently and are investigating why the NPCs are not killed when they can't be interacted with. We have some good leads and made some progress towards improving this. As this will touch some pretty sensitive NPC stuff we do have to be careful and it will take a little longer to see first improvements.

From what I've been told there are certain hours we're legally not allowed to cover, yes. I'm not an expert in work laws here in Sweden and am just repeating what I've been told, so take it with a grain of salt.

Not likely, but to not run into the risk of having to do something illegal (and that sounds very dramatic but is the reality) we do the maintenance earlier in our day to cover for these situations.

We're working from Sweden and can't rotate the timing that much. As seen on Tuesday, if we had started the maintenance a couple of hours later we would likely not have been able to actually finish the maintenance during legal working hours.

It sucks that it always affects Australia. :/

Probably an abusable gamebreaking bug they don't want us to find out about/use.

That makes 11 hours downtime maintenance this week.

Edit: Apparently the EB is dropping from normal mobs now..
Edit 2: Apperently it does not, and my sources were incorrect.

No, we just need to verify if the fixes are working. As we need to patch this live it takes a little longer. This is also an unscheduled maintenance so we just don't have as much time to prepare everything in advance.

We've also not seen any reports of the Eagle Bearer dropping from mobs, so if you can send that over to us, that'd be great!

We're working on the fix and if everything goes smoothly it should go in with today's maintenance.

Ah I see what you'e saying, and maybe the words I used wasnt the right ones to get my thoughts across clearly.

But what im trying to get across is, since a video game company,(not your company specifically) knows that players will spend money for customization and expressing themselves through dressing up like we do in real life, A share holder in that company would assume that the company would maximize their opportunity to utilize that feature to satisfy the player to maximize that revenue stream.

We've seen other companies do it to great success. I'd like to see Massive be successful in this area too. Anything that makes you guys look good in shareholders calls.

So what you're saying is we should monetize character re-customization and transmogrification? I don't know any game company that requires you to pay to access these features. Good to know and thanks for the info!

Thanks

Thanks! I'll forward it to the team.

If you see Cassie or any other vendor that has no inventory, can you DM me your console and Ubisoft username, please? Mention which NPC doesn't have stock in there as well, e.g. Cassie / or another vendor.

Well, from a business financial stand point, I'd thought a company would hire a art team specifically for customization. Its something thats easily monetizable and its pretty clear from any game, customization is VERY important to players.

We have an art team that specifically works on Apparel. But to make re-customization viable you need a lot of different teams. Making a feature in the game that allows you to completely change the look of your agent or your gear is not something an artist can put into the game.

Please tell us that we will get an API for Inventory Management!?

Not something we have investigated much so far. We'd rather make the RPG better to allow players to stop hording everything.

It works well in the ghost recon games as the “gear” you get doesn’t have any variable stats to the weapons e.g talents. Again I’m not trying to directly have a go, just voicing an opinion. I am thankful for the communication you guys provide by being active in the Reddit and other forum communities. If we don’t have a little clash before the holidays I hope you have a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Thanks for reaching out! And happy holidays to you too! :)

I think an issue here is that "what the community has been asking" is not necessarily what we can, want or will do. There are a lot of things that are requested every day and in an ideal world we would do all of them.

But there are a lot of limitations and also sometimes just things we don't feel will add value. We think Hardcore Mode is a fun addition to the game, didn't take anything away from somebody and didn't stop us doing more stuff.

We are continuously developing more content for the game and will have news on Episode 3 and beyond in the new year. We also understand that some players are very unhappy that we're not doing Survival, Underground or any other TD1 mode in the game. We therefore will take that feedback and see what parts of these modes we can take and implement in things we work on or will work on.

Just to make that clear, this was done by developers in their spare time. Not sacrificing any resources for something else.

No, not at all. It was done as a side project by some developers. Hardcore Mode wasn't planned at all.

Just an update though. I’ve soft reset my XB1 and sure enough. I’ve got both the Santa Hat and the Care Package!

But thanks again for your offer. And Merry Christmas

Awesome. Glad to hear you got the presents! Happy holidays to you and your loved ones.
