Hi! This sounds like the "missing entity" errors that have unfortunately been present in the game for a long time. I believe the next update should, again, fix some instances of them, but probably not all. We're sorry about this one, but we're working on weeding them out as fast as we can! Hello everyone, I'm glad that OP's immediate problem appears to have been solved; let's not be too hard on them over something as normal and perfectly appropriate as a forum post. The forums are here so that our players might write about their experience with the game, and the tutorial, just like every part of the game, is fair game for feedback!

Hi! There are some commands that are specifically disabled for multiplayer, but to give yourself all those commands that can be used in MP, you should only need to type "givecommandperm [PlayerName] all" in the F3 console or dedicated server console.

The end of the year is getting closer, and so is our next update. It’s all about the world outside your submarine – from level generation to new environment art, many things are getting more variety and polish. Hi, and thanks for the reminder – we've been meaning to clarify this message, so that's now back on our to do list! In the case of the campaign mode, it affects the whole save, so if you save a campaign with cheats enabled, you will no longer get achievements for that campaign. (Otherwise, it would be easy to just enable cheats, give yourself a million marks and all the upgrades, restart the game and cruise through collecting achievements.)

Hi! To add a bit to what Knee already wrote, the biting is because you've not fed your orange boy enough or played with him as much as he would like. So that part is (probably) working as intended; as per the name tags, that's a bug, not intended behaviour on your pet's part: they're currently not saved between rounds, and this will be fixed in the next update!

Hi! Unfortunately, we can't do a lot to improve the situation, at least for the time being. The ping you see in the server browser is an estimate, and it's not always accurate because of how SteamP2P uses intermediary servers to connect clients to servers. This was a necessary step to add to bypass the need for players to forward ports manually, and changing it further would not be a trivial task. We'll monitor the situation though, and our schedule permitting, we can look into developing this further at some point.

We’ve now released a minor update to address issues in the New Frontiers update and to bring new downtime activities to Europan submariners – some purely optional fun and games to balance the darkness of the ocean (and to keep idle hands from messing with the boat’s wires unnecessarily), and perhaps to yield some moderate rewards, too.

Hello everyone!

We’re happy to tell you the whole team has finished their summer holidays and we’re now all back at work on Barotrauma’s next update. It’s going to be a fairly small update, with a focus on fixing bugs and other issues, but it will also bring a couple of new additions to the game. The update is scheduled for release later this month; more details a little later!

Hello everyone!

The New Frontiers update, the biggest Barotrauma update so far, is just around the corner now. Multiple aspects of the game have been improved to create a real sense of progression, particularly in the campaign game mode – read more about all that below, and more on our blog[barotraumagame.com]!

Outposts, the start and end point of a mission, become physically explorable locations that replace the old campaign menu as the trading, crew hiring and service buying hub. The new outposts come with autonomous AI inhabitants as well as randomized events that bolster lore and even directly affect gameplay.

Hi! Sorry about the (very long, in relation to the original post!) delay in getting back to this thread. The last couple of weeks have been incredibly busy for our team, and the original post seems to have been missed entirely.

Now, our "mac guy" wished he could get some more details about your hardware:

- are you using a magic or a regular mouse, or just the touchpad?
- Macbook model would also be good to have as a clue, if the issue is performance-related, as he suspects.

Hi! Sorry about the inconvenience, it seems that on the current version, the server sometimes doesn't write that report even though it should. This should be fixed in the next update, so even if the crash keeps happening, you should be able to get the report and we'll hopefully be able to help you more.

Hi! Font scale as an adjustable setting has now been added to our todo list. I can't give you an estimate yet for when we'll implement it, but it will be a good addition to allow everyone to optimise the text size for the screen they're using without needing to go into the game files, so we hope to get it done soon.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to this thread, these have been busy weeks for our team!
