Sorry, I was late to approve this post. This has since been resolved in yesterday’s patch, please let me know if you have any problems.

I too don’t believe this is an audio issue, I think something else is at play here!

Could you try performing a clean re-installation of your GPU drivers using the instructions here?

If unsuccessful, run a Selective Startup and see if there’s any improvement by:

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
5. Reboot your PC
6. Play V...

Are any crash reports produced when this occurs?

Try enabling ‘Spatial Sound’ and see if there’s any improvement.

You may also need to change your ‘Speaker Configuration’ within the Vermintide 2 ‘Audio’ menu, to reflect your set-up (‘Stereo Headphones’ or ‘Speakers’).

Seems you have the classic (Champion of Ubersreik) hero skin applied, which the hats aren’t compatible with unfortunately as these particular skins are considered to be ‘Full-Body’ skins. This may change at a later date.

Sorry to hear you’ve been having a bad time with crashes. There doesn’t appear to be much consistency to it, some appear to potentially be the result of some recent downtime in our backend, and others look to be Access Violation crashes.

Could you try lowering your ‘Worker Thread’ count within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu down to 6, and see if there’s any improvement?

The error produced indicates your installation is corrupted/incomplete. Please ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ via the Steam client by:

1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button. This may take several minutes
5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
6. Launch Vermintide 2

Sorry to hear this. Just as a preventative measure, please try repairing our anti-cheat service (Easy Anti-Cheat) using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

Do you happen to have any buddies you could attempt to connect to, and then provide us with the corresponding console logs from both you and your buddy? Ideally, we need to see how the ‘other side’ reacts, so this would be really helpful. I appreciate it’s a lot of hassle, though.

This looks to be a result of the ‘UI Improvements’ mod.

I suspect this is a DirectX-related GPU crash (which we’re currently looking in to). Is this a recurring issue for you? If so, could you please switch to DirectX 11 within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu to see if there’s any improvement?
