You're playing fantasy dwarves in a sci-fi setting - and the method of oxygen distribution is the thing that raises an eyebrow? ಠ_ಠ

We don't have a list of cheaters on Discord. Cheaters are an unfortunate thing, but preventing it would be an endless task. Considering that Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative game, we encourage people to leave games with cheaters or kick them if they are hosting themselves - if you should be unfortunate enough to have a cheater boost you, you can revert to a previous save in the menu.

They're fun, aren't they. Especially when you realize that they can occasionally reach upwards and grab you through the ground.

See, it’s all about meeting your quotas and not exceeding them. The Union guys have been working hard greasing the gears to make sure that dwarves are paid for the work they put in. However, due to bureaucracy and fickle economics Deep Rock Galactic has responded by setting a strict budget for payouts per mission, and thus the rate paid for anything exceeding the quota is significantly lower. We had dwarves camping out for days, which led to a higher spending on equipment recovery and funeral insurance.

All in all, this ensures that the people in processing can keep up with the materials mined and that there’s not excess spending on salaries and similar luxuries. Management run a tight ship.

(TL;DR - there is, but it’s not worth it)

Thank for making this. I was being all Christmassy and forgot :D

Plz upvote this post. Mark is sad I get more karma than him, so I let him snipe this one.

Edit: Thanks for giving Mark Reddit Gold! It's all he's talking about.

I started making them, then another guy beat me to it, I let him do it, but then I went on baby leave for two weeks, and it kinda got lost. I'll get back into the rhythm and if not, feel free to make it and I'll pin it. :D

Edit: not to be rude, I love your guys game and will continue to support it, supporter edition and all.

It's fine. I was being snarky myself. :D Personally, I do not think of the M1K exclusively as a sniper, and I know that Mike the designer also doesn't. It's a rifle and it should be able to serve both purposes. I know it seems like a big change, but a lot of the feedback we've gotten from some of the regulars are on the positive side. Bear in mind, that we might tweak it and other stuff again at a later point - it's a process, so nothing's set in rock and stone.

That’s a great idea!

I completely agree with you and I think it is appalling that they even thought about buffing unfocused shots. This IS a sniper and therefore you should be punished for using it in any NON sniper like way. It is was dumb to buff non-focused builds. If i wanted to fire unfocused shots I would be using the Deepcore (which I currently am because its the best scout weapon now). The MK1 is a gun made for slow fire rates and high dmg output. if i am being overrun it is my fault and ill switch to the secondary and get my ass out of there. I want the old one back, the crosshair sucks, the recoil sucks, the ammo is annoying, and the unfocused fire are for dirt eaters.

Can’t really argue against players wanting to dig the terrain to their advantage in a game with hordes and deformable terrain.

If people want to have fun doing that, it’s fine. We just don’t want it to be an exploitable strategy.

If it's a special spawn like bulks or acid spitters, then it kinda fails as a general bunker deterrent.

On the other hand, if it's just a praetorian variant that is always on the spawn tables like glyphid guards & slashers it seems kinda... lame? Like, I don't understand why it's a variant in that case and they didn't just upgrade the base praetorian again.

Personally, I'm hoping GSG has developed some tech for dynamic spawns so that oppressors only appear when the game detects that the team is bunkering. But given the fast turnaround on this enemy I don't have great hopes for that.

It’s a praetorian variant, so it will occassionally spawn instead of one of those. It’s not going to spawn because there is a bunker or a bunker-friendly objective. I asked for that, but in the end it’s up to the designers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's actually a sub-version of the Praetorian. I believe it will spawn instead of one.
