Looks like we will be taking down the Satele Shan server in approximately 15 minutes to fix the latency issue. I'll update this thread when the server is back online!

We've been seeing reports of latency issues on the Satele Shan server. The team is rolling out a fix in approximately ten minutes. Players currently on Satele Shan may get kicked to the server select screen. I'll post more updates here as I get more info.

Feast of Prosperity event

• [Sharing Our Bounty] Choosing to defeat the Nova Blade Pirates on Rishi will not allow the mission to progress. 
  • Workaround: If this option is chosen initially, reset the mission, and choose to steal the wine instead. This option allows the mission to progress as intended.

Hey everyone, 

The Best View in SWTOR is back! The contest will be running from today to October 20. All the finer details can be viewed here. 

One thing you will note is that instead of 10 planets, we will be accepting submissions for five locations. This year has essentially wrapped the Best View contest rotation in terms of planets/locations, however, we are having conversations about what future contests will look like. This can range anywhere from hosting a contest surrounding fashionable outfits or impressive Strongholds, so look forward to another type of contest next year.

We look forward to seeing all of your submissions!

Hey everyone, 

We know some players may have run into a "login service is currently unavailable" error message recently. We found that there was an increase in malicious traffic hitting our login servers, and in response we've added additional security to these endpoints.

If players are:

• Having difficulty connecting to the game after multiple login attempts, please wait at least 5 minutes before logging in again.
• Using a VPN, wait at least 5 minutes and/or disabling the VPN before attempting to log into the game again.

We'll be keeping an eye on any further reports and will update this thread as needed.

The following Galactic Seasons 7 fixes will be coming in this patch. 

• Fixed an issue that caused the Preeda the Butcher boss fight to reset. 
• Completing the following Bounty Contracts now gives progress toward the Season 7 Objective Master Achievement:

  • Nar Shaddaa
  • Voss 
• The Furious Brynjak mount has been added to Jaliet Nall’s weekly inventory rotation and will be available on weeks B and D.

As Keith mentioned in the Q3 Producer Letter, we’re looking into SWTOR being playable on Mac machines! We’ve been doing internal testing for a Mac Launcher, and the team feels comfortable opening up a test session for players who are interested in seeing how SWTOR performs with MacOS on Macs with Apple Silicon. For clarity, we are creating a native Mac launcher, not a native Mac game client.  The native Mac launcher is intended to automate all of the prerequisites and settings currently required to play SWTOR on a Mac computer.

Please @JackieKo, could we get a fix for Vette. The bug for her weapons seem to be fixed but she always has her kotfe/kotet gloves on her when she doesn't wear gloves. I even try the covert energy gloves on her but the bug is the same. Can you find a fix for this bug please. I can't fully enjoy this date with her because I see her kotfe/kotet gloves everytime when she mustn't wear gloves.

The team is aware of the bug for this particular DvL boss. A hotfix is not possible, but there is a workaround for this bug that other players have noted above.

• Players will need to pull Preeda onto the sand away from the ridge (the dark brown rocks) where she initially spawns.
• Be careful not to pull her too far from the spawn point to avoid the fight resetting.

The team is working on a fix for this boss, however, it will come in a future patch after the weekly objective is reset. Players will see the fix applied when Preeda is rotated back into the weekly objectives.

Until then, please utilize the workaround suggested above.
