The naming system works the exact same as it does for displaynames, but we can cover those instances when we discuss with the Clan leader at the time of creation.

Clan names can be changed once every 7 days.

Kind of confused, as a leader of a casual clan, i dont have things like start dates. We just kind of started talking in a cc so we didnt have to pm. Will I need to pre register our clan name? Or will I be able to create it once it is updated? Edit: Also, will be be able to change the name of the clan like we can do now?

If you're not concerned someone else will snipe your Clan name, there's no need to pre-register. Just simply create it when the Clan rework goes live :)

Yes you'll be able to rename your Clan, though it'll be limited to once every 7 days.

Wait, so the content gets worse the higher your mining level? That's not how mining works! Still broken.

It's still better the higher Mining level you are, just the amount that it scales has been reduced. This allows us to have the content still be good for low-mid levels whilst not becoming a new BiS for high levels.

Restart the servers

Hate to be a pedantic asshole but surely whoever wrote this should know that this by definition wasn't a hotfix.

It was most definitely done via a hotfix - the server maintenance earlier today (which was at approximately 12:00 BST) was not only entirely unrelated, but also 2 hours prior to these changes going live :P

We could have done a much better job of making it clear what our intentions with the survey and its results were :(

Be very careful answering these questions. Can’t wait to see what they decide needs a nerf after this one....

I can see why you'd think this but changes to the blowpipe had absolutely nothing to do with the survey - that was something the team decided to do long before that survey was even created, yet alone sent out and filled in by players. The survey was to try and help guide some of the other decisions that needed to be made.

It is :) We've put it on all social platforms we use and it's linked as part of the in-game broadcast that takes you to the newspost!

I guess I need more clarification on how they'd be faster.

What steps are there going to be? Only from hard clues, or are they coming from hard, elite, and master wildy steps? New steps? Would potential new steps be added to other non-wildy clues?

Will there be fewer steps than hard clues?

What would the expected drop rate be? Hard clues are already 1/32 in the wilderness from hellhounds. Are they going to be even more common than that?

How many loot rolls from the hard table will there be?

On the surface this just doesn't seem worth it, but I'm willing to hear you all out on it at the very least

A lot of the questions you've asked I don't have answers for, only thoughts. That's why we wanted to include it in the survey - if people like the concept enough, we'll spend the time needed to flesh out a proper design.

One thing I can say though is that it wouldn't impact any existing Clue Scroll tiers.

You'd likely be able to complete these clues much faster than a normal Hard clue, and the drop rate could be designed so that you get them more frequently.

Any combination of these things and maybe lowering the amount of steps by 1 would make them worthwhile to do imo.

Does this mean hard clues would get new wilderness steps though, or would the current ones be enough? Tbh, that's probably what's going to decide how I vote on that, I don't think anyone's waiting on more wilderness steps in hard clues.

It wouldn't change existing Hard Clues, they'd be their own tier of Clue basically. That's not to say new steps won't be added in the future, but it wouldn't be because of this tier (if it was ever even polled and passed).

Another year, another Wilderness Survey to be ignored.

Did you even check the survey out? It's quite different from the ones we've done in the past.

I just filled in the survey and I stand corrected. If I understood them correctly, these questions are about changes to be made in the near future.

Exactly that! We're trying to pinpoint which areas we need to focus our design efforts on the most, rather than asking for new suggestions.

Really? So it's a hard clue scroll except it has all of the worst steps and you miss out on a 1/15 drop that gives you 300k?

I'm top 50 in clues completed and I cannot believe how bad of a suggestion this is. No unique loot? Why take the master out? What's the point of offering a hard clue that's more dangerous to get and is just objectively worse?

The intention would be to give more money making methods to people doing Wilderness Slayer, without introducing a new best method of obtaining Master Clue scrolls.

You'd likely be able to complete these clues much faster than a normal Hard clue, and the drop rate could be designed so that you get them more frequently.

Skull tricking is the biggest problem I have with the wilderness

There's a question in the survey that you might want to pay particular attention to in that case!

Have you checked the survey out yet? This one is a little different to any we've done before.
