There certainly are ways, but loosening restrictions adds in new vectors for loopholes and workarounds to consider as well. At the moment, this is working well.
Not at this point in time unfortunately. It’s something we might be willing to explore in the future if things look a bit different from a fraud perspective, but for now the lock is staying in place as it’s been highly effective.
I understand players want a power pass and/or event with every class release, but unfortunately that is not something that is planned and has been stated several months ago. The just of it is that while other regions may get a Power Pass with most class releases, they are only getting a very small number of new classes per year. This version of the game has a much faster release cadence for classes (despite players feeling like it is slow, we are aware), which would lead to a much more significant number of power passes shared with players compared to other regions.
We are making an active effort to let players know when an event is running what classes will release during that time as we did with the latest event, power pass, and Arcanist release, but this does not guarantee those things will be provided for each class.

Can confirm that this was one of the localization tweaks in the August Update. Some class skill name changes were on the Martial Artist class to better theme them to the class!
Hey there! There are lots of different ways feedback is sent along. In cases of bugs, generally making sure those go into the Bugs and Localization Feedback section of our forums is a direct path to getting it investigated. Whether or not your post receives a reply, our QA team is always here to track and try to replicate bugs. If it can be replicated, it is reported directly to Smilegate using internal tools so that they can work on a fix for a future game build.
When you see a comment that your post has been reported, it’s bonus confirmation that someone on staff has seen it and it’s going into that internal tool to be investigated and fixed as needed!!

I also wanted to make a small note that we are also awaiting an update to the mail system that will allow you to block players directly from your inbox, which should be an additional good quality of life update to look forward to!
At this point in time, there are not plans to release a new event or free powerpass with the launch of the Machinist class.
Captcha was disabled late on the day of the update (August 24th), and the system not a part of EAC. EAC has been in the game since launch; we do not have plans to remove it as it has always been present and is one of the important tools we use to catch and ban botters and cheaters. I am not sure the cause of your ping spikes, but player support may be able to provide you with troubleshooting tips.

Bots are still a problem in Lost Ark, and truthfully they will likely always have some presence. We’re still doing work to improve anti-cheat tools (we’ve seen a huge uptick in anti-cheat related bans this week) and are working on other mitigations, like the potential development of a Captcha tool like the one that accidentally made it to live servers earlier this week. When a big change comes we’ll be sure to let players know, but for now we are continuing to work away at this issue.
Appreciate this – feedback on roster bound vs character bound has definitely been shared in the past, but it’s worth raising again. As some others have noted, it does have broader impacts on things like the function of the game economy, but we can see if the team is open to exploring it!

Celebrate the final month of summer in Arkesia with a new Fever Time event this weekend!
Beginning on August 27th at 3 AM PT / 10 AM UTC, one character on a player’s Roster can click the “Fever Time” button in-game to claim special rewards. This Fever Time event features a variety of items to aid players in their journeys, including some goodies that can be used in the new Pet Ranch!
