Just be aware that an increase of stockpile range is able to exponentially increase performance issues, as stockpile links are one of the most taxing things, we hence also don't accept performance reports with vastly increased ranges. The setting has a warning about that as well.

The elevator can only go down from it's position, not up, yes.

I have no idea what that page is or does, the only official system requirements are in Steam and on our website.

Hey Citizens,
Update 9.7.12 is now available to address the interaction and physics problems that started to appear after our last update.

As an immediate response, this night we already had replaced Update 9.7.11 with a newer build to prevent the issue from appearing on yet unaffected worlds. Unfortunately that also had the drawback of causing a bit of confusion, as servers had to be updated to the new build without it having a new main version. This update should fix the issue on already affected worlds and restore version continuity.

The root cause for the issue in Update 9.7.11 was a bug that allowed certain objects (rubble, logs, trunks, vehicles, etc.) to drop into invalid, largely negative positions. Only once that actually occured the physics engine malfunctioned, leading to the issues you were experiencing, which is why not everyone was affected and the reports on the problems appeared unusually late. This update removes any objects with such positions.

Just to keep you updated, we replaced the released version with a newer build that prevents the issue from happening if it didn't yet, but we'll need a full update to fix worlds already affected. We hope to get that done in a few hours.

Basically a glitch in 9.7.11 allowed things to get out of boundary on rare occasions, but occasions that happen more frequently on active servers (and this way avoided QA), subsequently leading to physics failing once that state was reached. With the updated build this should no longer happen and things out of boundary teleport back to valid places when you walk into its coordinate range, but you'd need to catch every single object that is out of boundary for it to work again after a restart.

For the issue in yesterdays update there is a test build for servers available on our Discord now. The original issue the OP is talking about is different from that, though, so I'm closing this topic before there is even more confusion about different issues caused.

As I said, it is not reproducable for us so far, unfortunately. With neither of that.

If that can help you, i know how to debug (whitout using command) the cart when you have the bug. It look the the Even script get smaller than the hitbox for the cart

The issue with carts currently appearing is unfortunately not the same one and alrea... Read more

There are issues where we unfortunately aren't able to help, as no cause within the game can be found, mostly because the issue is a local hardware or software issue or because we need to wait for unity support in case of engine problems - in opposite to other games we update our Unity versions very often. In the first case we always offer a refund, in the second we keep people updated about the process with Unity. It's not possible to diagnose every single potential issue remotely, especially given the amount of things that can cause issues. I don't know your specific case, but I'm sure if what you say is true, you were offered that remedy.

Also note that barely any two crashes are the same, so people sending logfiles is absolutely necessary, as it's unlikely they have the exact same issue as you.

When I was playing ECO earlier last year I was talking about some sort of game scraper to pull all the data. Even though I am a software engineer student, my brain is very much smaller than a pea, so me trying to come up with a solution to do this caused me many headaches to the point I gave up. I do believe there is a Mod that did this but its also for an older version of the game so I don't quite know what the implications of that are when using on newer versions as for some games, mods are either very much version dependent (i.e. Minecraft Mods) or are a "may cause issues but can run" situation (i.e. Minecraft Texture Packs)

I think the way I would do it would be the tedious way and be all manual but psudocode it in a sense....

The wiki data is gotten by such a scraper, but it hasn't been updated in a long time, it's open source as well though: https://github.com/ZeelNightwolf/EcoDataExporter

In Update 10 :)
Post
Hey Citizens,
we're releasing Update 9.7.11 to address some issues that appeared in our last update.

UI:
  • Fixed: The shown currency of the store owner didn't update immediately after a change, leading to wrong values being displayed.
  • Fixed: The soil sampler showed wrong yield values for trees that aren't 100% mature.

Server:
  • Fixed: Some players were unable to join servers (on the first try) due to view errors.
  • Fixed: Server logs were reporting errors for physics, despite that should only be enabled in development versions.

Miscellaneous:
  • Fixed: The interaction range of skid steers and excavators was way too high and caused major usability issues.
  • Fixed: Players could crash when harvesting if they didn't skip the tutorials.

I've checked all our Twitter posts, none of them refer to that. Given I also manage the livestreams I know that there has not been any such information there either. And the roadmap post literally states it's the public playtest, so the information has always been there.

Also please note that both OP and everyone else in this thread is actually talking about the playtest, not a final release. So people here definitely seem to have gotten the information.

I'm happy to be blamed for any mistakes we actually made, but stating we would have announced the release of Update 10 for start of April is simply wrong.

We have _never_ and _nowhere_ stated that Update 10 is releasing in April, it was always about the public playtest. If you recheck the roadmap post on Steam, it says exactly that as well, all that happened is that we had to move the playtest a bit due to finishing off 9.7.10 - and that has been explained in the statement above. Even the statement given states clearly that "9.7.10 is the version you will play on until release of Update 10", which is why we need to get it done correctly, as it's still a few months until then. Not sure what outlets you are talking about, all the announcements made by me reflect this - be it here, on discord, on reddit, facebook or twitter. And those are the only official channels, anything anywhere else is not official.

Update 10 will release after several phases of playtest were finished successfully. Don't count on it before end of may / start of june.

This is about a testing release, we'll update you when it's available on our discord, as stated in our announcement. We're working on hotfixes for issues that came with 9.7.10 currently to polish that up, just as noted as well.

Yes, you can either do so via opening the server ui ingame (/serverui in chat, tabbing out to the window that opened) or manually via config files in /Steam/steamapps/common/Eco/Eco_Data/Server/Configs.
