There will be folks who it isn’t in their interest to move to a new region and lots of folks who it will be appealing to. We will have to monitor and do what we can to help players spread out through the available servers to play on.

Server Transfer functionality is indeed a critical ask for the developers. Unfortunately, it wasn’t ready in time for launch but it is something we would also like to see implemented.

My understanding is character transfer functionality does not exist at this time. That functionality certainly would have saved a lot of players headaches.

Hey folks, I apologize for this continued frustrating experience. The team is working on a fix that will solve this at scale. And we’re also working on a compensation plan for this poor experience you are all having. My recommendation is start playing on an alt and we will provide updates on this as soon as we have confirmed all the details. Again, I know how awful this entire experience has been. I am working with the team to make it right.

We want to apologize for the experience you’ve been having with your characters that were impacted by the Galatur server crash last week. While we have been doing our best to address as many of these cases one by one we realize that your patience can only extend so far.

The team has been working on a script that may be able to solve this at scale. Since it is still being developed, we don’t know the details yet of exactly how it will work or if they will be successful in implementing this solution.

Looking ahead there are two paths.

The first potential outcome is we’re able to solve this issue for everyone using a script and we compensate everyone affected by this issue for all the lost time playing these characters and for this poor experience.

The other is possible outcome is that we weren’t able to solve it with a solution that fixes this problem for everyone in which case we compensate everyone for the loss of that character in addition to the loss of...

We have CS processing tickets, Cy and I are working through this thread, and I also have a list I am working through. So we’ll do our best to be fair but the order is a little all over the place due to various inputs.
