In the current version of the game, under stockpiles in the room edit window, you can select which item categories or specific items you want permitted in the room.

That said, the update I'm finishing up introduces a ton of improvements to rooms in general, which includes added functionality to jobs/stockpiles. It makes it way easier to edit item permissions for rooms, but also lets you edit where items can go in more detail. i.e., you can select specific containers for things.

Good catch. Summoning does increase the starting level for the summon.

As for window resizing, it's not the easiest thing to add, otherwise I would have a long time ago. It is on my list of polish tasks though.

Ah, my apologies for not following up on this one until now. Thanks for bumping.

Skills only provide a bonus to the output for jobs and combat. So, if you're fighting an enemy with melee weapons, you'd get +9 to the damage output if your Melee Fighting skill was 9. Likewise, for jobs, you'd get +9 to logging a tree with a 9 Logging skill. This means, you are either doing more damage to an enemy, or complete a job faster.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been so busy working away on adding tons and tons of stuff to the next expansion. I am so excited to share it with you guys. Not only does it introduce a race that I think is super fun to play, the Gwdir, it has lots of new content, UI improvements, and quality of life stuff.

I'm going to save a full detail of everything for the patch notes but here are some things to tease.

New Entities!


There are four new entities with very unique behaviors, including the Haast (seen above). I greatly improved my entity creation pipeline over the last two months, making it so much quicker to make entities. So, I'm going to start adding a bunch more!

You sure can. Just need to disable the notifications from the notifications settings panel.

Open the notifications panel with /
Click the button that looks like a wrench and says, "Open Notifications Settings" when you hover over it
Find "Entity Death" and disable it for captured

This should keep captured entities from showing that notif.

Bridges! Would love to add some mechanical props. As for air, I do want to add smoke and ventilation at some point. I think that would be an interesting dynamic to having fireplaces and underground forges.

Those ranged attacks sound like bugs. If it says 14, that should be melee attack range not long ranged. I'll try to reproduce this. Were you on the beta or regular version?

Lopen says, "Hey."

On the world map, "Settle" means start a completely new settlement on a new tile, and "Migrate" means take your previous items and settlers to a new tile.

I will be enabling cloud saves soon. Just trying to finish up some stuff for the next playable race, then I want to active it.

gde_data.txt was deprecated a couple version back. Instead, all game data is derived from Scriptable Objects.

You can checkout the modding project to see the all the data the game uses:

Though, the modding project is very much in development. So, it may or may not work 100%. I'll be focusing on it a bit more as we go.

Regarding some Q's:
7 - The job should require a cage. I'll take a look.
8 - Definitely a bug. The uniforms are supposed to default to the first item found starting with highest and finally using lowest priority.
