Update:
We’ve transferred approximately 150K players since character transfers went live. A small number of those have resulted in characters with an invalid data state that needs to be corrected. We’ve done that for those affected last night, but there are a still some new transfers affected that we see happening. We have paused character transfers and evaluate how we can prevent future occurrences of this problem. When that is resolved we’ll resume the service, with an announcement ahead of time.

I know the final resounding question is “transfers when?” and unfortunately I don’t have exact timing to share for that at this time other than what was announced last week which is “you can expect them this week.”

When I know the timing, you will also know the timing.

We have answers from the dev team to many of the questions that we have pulled from this thread! You can find them below:

Q: How many times will we be able to transfer for free? Will we be able to pay for server transfers after using the free tokens?
A: The initial release includes one transfer token, which is single use. We will continue to monitor the server populations, and if transfers result in uneven distribution that causes queues we will issue new sets of tokens where needed.

Q: When will “full” servers open for transfer? Will there be any monitoring of these servers to see whether or not they should be opened/closed depending on the flow of transfers?
*A: We monitor full status on a daily basis with changes as recently as today. “Full” doesn’t indicate a server that always has queues, it indicates a server that during typical peak usage has a substantial queue. We will be ...

Greetings Adventurers,

Earlier this morning we were made aware of an issue with the Baralku server. Upon investigating we found that a server crash caused the world to spring forward in time. This in turn caused many time based mechanics such as taxes and darkness events to all progress dramatically. Unfortunately, due to the time between the server having issues and the time that the problem was discovered the option to roll back the server became impossible. While this is not the most ideal solution, we feel that it is the best choice so as not to risk introducing more issues on characters after a rollback.

We have performed a quick maintenance on Baralku and the server is now back and available for play. We are currently investigating the root cause of this issue as well as building systems to alert us to these types of situations sooner.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

We know the situation is upsetting and we completely sympathize.

There is going to be more information about transfers coming out soon including time frames and answers for most of not all of the questions that have been put into this thread.

We are rolling out a change to our AFK detection system to address reports of players erroneously kicked from the world, like while you are browsing the Trading Post in Everfall for the perfect set of boots. There is no downtime related to this release, and it is not intrusive to your gameplay. As the change rolls out to all regions, we will be watching for any potential issues that may arise, and are prepared to revert changes if needed.

We are targeting all worlds to have this change deployed by 2021-10-15T05:15:00Z

Once again, there will be no downtime related to this release.
