This is uncomfortably similar to my watching habits
This is a weird take. We have released patches each week (sometimes more than once a week, like this week) to address issues and exploits that show up in New World.
I understand that it can be frustrating when the issue you specifically are experience seems to go unnoticed, but I can assure you that we are actively working to resolve bugs and exploits as we receive them. Some issues are harder to nail down and require deeper investigation and testing meaning they take longer to address.
The team is committed to consistently patching and improving New World.
Hey everyone,
Apologies, I have been reading a lot today so I may be misunderstanding what the situation is in this thread, but are you not transferring because you are under the impression that transfers are not available or are you experiencing the missing trade contract bug?
Server transfers are available now and only a small number of users are having the contract issue.
Heyo!
Server transfer tokens are not available for purchase at this time. If at some point they do become available for purchase, we will be sure to let you know
We don’t have any new news for you yet, but when we do you certainly will know!
Actually, generally there are at least three of us plus a whole moderation team and a large support team.
That is not to mention that veritable army of QA and Dev folks who lurk on the forums and track reports of issues and exploits.
You can see our activity on the Dev Tracker, but it is worth noting that we also are working in the Amazon Games Discord as well as working to get you all information about your burning issues.
Heyo!
I am certain that the experience in that live chat has been frustrating. It looks like you are trying to figure out server transfers. It is possible that you having the issue that is covered in that big blue box at the top of the forums where a borked contract in the Trading Post can block players from transferring due to the game thinking that you have active contracts, even if all of your contracts appear closed. This includes players who are unable to cancel active contracts.
Our dev team is currently working on finding a fix for this issue. When it is resolved, we will be sure to let everyone know!
Heyo!
We have brought this to the attention of our dev team and they are investigating. When we have updates on the situation we will be sure to let everyone know!
Heyo!
The team is looking into Resilient not working correctly as we speak. When we have a fix for it we will be adding it into one of our weekly updates.
Keep your eyes open for more information when it becomes available!
Hey everyone!
The team is looking into this situation as this is not intended behavior. When we have a fix for it we will be adding it into one of our weekly updates.
Please stay tuned for more information as we get it!
I totally understand the frustration. Expectations weren’t being met. Believe me, the Community Team wants to give you updates as much as you want to get them.
You can’t see it, but the team is constantly trying to get updates that are more substantial than “sorry, nothing yet” for you all. Being vitriolic towards staff doesn’t actually help either side.
Please endeavor to keep the community civil and to treat both staff and other community members with respect.
Hey everyone,
The team is aware and looking into this bug now. We’ll be sure to update when we have more information.
I’m perfectly fine with constructive criticism but the amount of attacking of members of this community in this thread is ridiculous.
I’m locking it and reminding everyone to follow the Code of Conduct. Keep the community civil, please.
This issue is known and the team is working on it now. We don’t need multiple threads about the issue scattered across the forums.
You can find a megathread of all issues from this update HERE
Hey everyone,
I went and spoke with the Dev team and they are looking into this situation as we speak.
I don’t have clear steps to help resolve the issue right now, but when we get them, we will certainly be sharing them.
I apologize for the frustration this is causing. We’re on the case!
I think this is disingenuous but also understandable. It is hard to see what changes get made where and when based on something that the community has written on.
A great example would be the change from 3am Pacific Time updates to 10pm Pacific Time updates. The length of downtime mixed with choice of timing was causing EU players to miss out on almost all of their peak gaming hours. So we pulled the update window back to an earlier time to address that feedback.
The game has changed dramatically not just from when it was first announced, but also between now and our Preview that we held over a year ago. A lot of changes came from tester feedback.
The Community Te...
Read moreGold selling is certainly frustrating and is one of the things that is constantly on our Game Moderation team’s mind. They are fielding tons of reports on the situation every day.
While the situation is complex (more so than I actually understand) there is no call for sniping at other community members.
Be cool, stay civil, remain constructive.
We certainly hear the want and totally understand how annoying bugs, both big and small, can be.
Unfortunately not all bugs are created equal and some require server downtime to address. While chasing and fixing bugs is certainly one of our top priorities, we can’t constantly be restarting servers to deploy patches. As such, we try to only have one to two downtimes a week rather than updates with new fixes every day.
I know it is hard to wait, but we are certainly hustling to make the game a better experience. Hang tight and stay tuned!
As with all live games, weapons are not set in stone. There will be tuning and balance passes made as the game evolves. These things don’t happen overnight but they are on the dev’s mind.
Definitely keep an eye on upcoming patches and updates where we will detail any balance changes that may come!
Heyo!
It is easy to be frustrated when you are playing a thing and it doesn’t meet your expectations. It’s also easy to have an “us vs. them” mentality when it comes to people who are enjoying the thing that you are frustrated with.
It is ok for people to have fun just as much as it is ok for others to be frustrated. It is not ok for those individuals to actively attack each other. Everyone in this community wants New World to be fun.
We are all pulling in the same direction. We all want the game to be fun. Let’s keep the community constructive and civil while our team works to continually improve the New World experience.
