Hey there! We can certainly note the feedback, but we don't have any timelines to share as to when to expect the next map pool update. The most recent change came from several reports collected over the past few months regarding requests for the most recent update. Sharing map pool requests is totally okay, but a single Reddit petition didn't cause the change. So while we expect that understanding is already known, we wanted to share it with all passersby.
Make sure you're staying within this subreddit's guidelines regarding frequency and such. :)

Armada Strike and Satellite are back. We have technical limitations as to how many maps we can have in a playlist at a time so we've removed Deprogram and Amerika as they were least played. This is also why Armada Strike and Satellite were removed from 6v6 the first time. The conspiracy theories people come up with... 😅

Watching it back a few times and I have to agree with our peers here that you're rushing quite often. It may be a result of you knowing that you're fighting bots, but I'd like to see you clear rooms while being mindful of the fatal funnel. You can absolutely rush in BOCW, we love movement, but being mindful of those sightlines will help.
I also see the Discord overlay. Embrace KBM if you can!

If you previously played Ranked Play during the Season Five ladders, which we call the Season Five competitive season, and earned rewards by playing, you can obtain those now. This process is similar to how previous seasons operated also.
Your questions lead me to believe that you don't typically play Ranked Play which is okay.
When you originally would have obtained this MOTD the competitive season would have still been active, but ending soon. Now that you have logged on, after Nov 16, you have been served the most recent MOTDs including this one. We shared in previous MOTDs, blogs, and tweets, on Nov 2, that the competitive season was ending at a later date which we have now crossed.

If you updated on Monday only to encounter black screens or crashes directly after launching, we investigated the issue with our partners and rolled out some solutions. The shortest explanation I can provide is that a recent update to Battle.net resulted in a case that would cause any updated Call of Duty encounter to experience these issues. A fix was rolled out by our Battle.net partners late on Tuesday, which should allow players to Scan/Repair to get back in-game.

Steps:
- Go to My Documents(C:\Users\{User}\Documents\) and remove the folder named "Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War".
- Open the blizzard launcher -> Press the options(Next to the play button) -> Show in Explorer -> Remove the folder named "Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War".
- Uninstall the game using the blizzard launcher, Press the options(Next to the play button) -> Uninstall.
- Download the game again.
- ???
- Profit!
There is a change, it will work if you only do step one, if not repeat step one after you close the game or it crashes and follow the rest of the steps as well.
Thanks for taking the time to try to find a fix for you and your peers. An issue with the Battle.net launcher was discovered and a fix for it was released. That fix allows players to Scan/Repair to get back in if they haven't reinstalled.
We also recommend that you make a backup of your My Documents Black Ops Cold War folder in the future before removing it just in case you need to revert to it or check your old player data folder for configuration settings.
Update: We are continuing to investigate this situation with our partners. We will continue to update this thread and Trello card with more information when we have it.

An update to Battle.net has been released, which should help resolve this issue. Players are encouraged to update their Battle.net application and perform a Scan and Repair on their installation of #BlackOpsColdWar to get back into action.

No interesting patch notes as of yet, however this one is interesting.
- Addressed game crashing bugs.
They sure did adress it, as in introduced it into the launcher.
We're not sure what this website is, but it is not an official Call of Duty, Treyarch, or Black Ops Cold War resource. We have not released patch notes for this update as there were no intended, player-facing changes made.

Not OP but my group has noticed this bug completely disappeared, THANK YOU.
Curiously since "lobby glitch" was fixed, we are now noticing a 6 player lobby glitch where we will lose 1 or half the lobby when searching for games as a 6 stack in MP. Never occurs with 1-5 player lobby, only a full 6. Happens with a mixed lobby of PC/Xbox and also with all 3 PC/Xbox/PSN. Our temporarily solution has been to cap lobbies at 5 players.

Happy to hear that this speculative fix, via a real backend network update, has seemingly fixed the Failed to host lobby issue. I'm still monitoring it to see if it is spiking or not from a social standpoint. Network data was reportedly in the positive as of late.

Curious if you're still running into this issue? We released a backend network update on July 8th at 5 pm/PT that hopefully alleviated it and have reached out to a few players that were consistently encountering it. I found your thread and hope to hear back soon.
I'm playing on series X, and constantly running into a glitch where I call on my artifact, but nothing happens. This is especially common later into a match. I have read posts from months ago about this issue, and I just wanted to bring it to attention, artifacts are broken. Please can we have them fixed?

Yes, I was specifically using the G-43 with the NYDAR Model 47 Optic while using the “Split Chevron” reticle. Thanks for the response and keep up the great work! ♥️
