I would like to reach out to you all with an update from the development team. The issue wherein the Ubisoft Connect weapons have been downgraded will be resolved in TU 1.2.0. This update is due to be deployed 16 March, 2021 at 1PM CET/8AM EDT. You can read the patch notes and learn more here.
 
If the issue still persists for you following the deployment of TU 1.2.0, please can you provide us with a video that shows the following:

• You have TU 1.2.0 installed. You can check this in the title menu in the bottom right-hand corner.
• That your weapons are still downgrading when playing the game.

The information about the lynx is particularly helpful, as I know some of the aggressive animals in-game can go a rogue and attack non-violent NPCs. I've passed your responses to the development team to see if this can help with the ongoing investigation.

Thanks for sharing this, @O-E-Smith! The unlit brazier on top of the tower can be easily missed - I know I nearly missed it! As you mention, there's also quite a few unlit braziers along the wall. I don't think it matters which direction you travel along Hadrian's Wall, so I would recommend starting from the tower with the skeleton to ensure you catch all unlit braziers on your journey across.

You can also use your raven to help you spot braziers that might not be directly along the wall, but on surrounding towers, too!

Would you be able to send us a video that shows you're in the correct starting location for the mystery, but that the stag isn't in the surrounding area? You can use Odin's Sight to help check this, as the stag would be highlighted in blue.
