Hey all, as a follow up to this, we are still investigating adjustments to reduce the impact of the sound effects of the ability in these cases. As we've delved into the investigation and what is possible, it's become apparent that this will take some time to adjust, test, and implement. Realistically, the work around improving this is going to be included in Update 45 (next year) at the earliest.

Hey all, the old billing emails from last month that some of you received on December 2 were due to an outbound communications error in our billing and account management system following a maintenance on the same day. No one was actually charged in conjunction with these old billing notice emails, and the issue has since been resolved. We're also looking into why the link appeared that way in the email you got, @doright.

This also affects furnishings. I just crafted 15 lamps in my house and it counted as 1.

Hey all, for those of you reporting that Cyrodiil delve bosses are not counting toward the Golden Pursuit, we'd like to ask for a bit more information. We have identified a localization issue with all non-English clients (so French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese) where the "Earn Level" task is incorrectly displaying "Kill X Bosses in Cyrodiil Delves." Because this is a localization mismatch error, killing bosses in Cyrodiil will not progress this particular task - it's looking for earned levels. We have a fix for this lined up for the next incremental patch the week of December 16. If you are killing delve bosses in Cyrodiil and not seeing the general "Kill 5 Delve Bosses" Golden Pursuit progress, we do want to know, please. The boss name would be especially helpful. I'm reporting here that one of the options for the Golden Pursuit is likely not working as intended: I unlocked the "craft 50 items" by doing them in bulk and it worked; I did that directly in my house and the "craft 20 items in a house" counted just 1/20. I tested this a couple times more and it force-required me to craft 1 item at a time; all items I used to craft in bulk I won't have them back and they didn't count. Maybe you could hotfix this for other players? Aside from this, I think I appreciate this Golden Pursuit more than a regular event, and it will keep me busy returning to play more ESO, so... Positive feedback from me :smile:

Hey all, thank you for reporting this. We can confirm that Alchemy and Provisioning multicrafting are not correctly counting toward this Golden Pursuit, and that is not intended. The workaround for now is crafting Alchemy and Provisioning items one at a time when doing so for this Golden Pursuit.

The Delve Boss in Deshaan Lady Llarel does not provide the correct reward for the Golden Pursuit delve boss, this is erring on the beneficial side for players, but definitely not intended as it would be considered an exploit.

Craglorn bosses seemingly don't count either. I killed Mzeklok in Rkundelft and both bosses in Haddock's Market and none counted.

  • The ability to dismiss/ignore/disable the prompt. Just getting that prompt off-screen would be a useful start; I expect some others might be in the middle of something and may want to return to the Golden Pursuit interface later at their leisure rather than have the persistent prompt. Perhaps, push it to notifications
  • (which already exists with a well-developed interface) where it can be reviewed and responded to later, for those who want to? I expect others would prefer it as is which is why a disable/enable toggle, for me, would be preferred, but a compromise might be a fade-timeout with the prompt pushed to notifications at the timeout end(if such were implemented, the ability to set the timeout timer would be a winner as it could be set to zero, effectively shunting the prompt to notifications immediately...)?

Correct! You won't be locked out of the outfit style activities and rewards, even if you do other ones that don't have it first. There is no lockout of those rewards at all. :smile:

If you press X on keyboard (not sure what keybind it is for controller), it will dismiss that prompt temporarily. That prompt will reappear any time you re-emerge from a load screen. There's no way (without the use of addons) to suppress that prompt permanently. And pressing X on keyboard to (temporarily) dismiss the prompt is not telegraphed in the UI and so it is not discoverable by people who do not already know about it. BTW, pressing X also works for the prompt for level-up rewards.
Thanks, @code65536! This sounds like the same issue we were seeing last month, and we do have a bug in for it. We're still trying to nail down the cause. We can confirm, at least, that this is not working as intended.

^ This, specifically, for example - there does not seem to be a way to ignore or dismiss this prompt without actually interacting with the golden pursuits. Why has a means to disable/ignore/dismiss this (GUI design 101...) not been implemented?

Thank you so much for replying @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ! :) If I understood correctly, we can complete all 20 pursuits before the event, but when we earn 10 tickets during the event, we can still get the style page from that pursuit objective. If that's the case, that's great news, and it means players won't have to monitor or pace their activities before the event.

Gaining a cp point didn’t count towards A “level” per the golden pursuit requirements. How many cp equates to a “level” on a baby toon? My account is full of grown up toons, lol, i can only gain CP 🙂
Great question! We double checked with the team that designed Golden Pursuits, and they had this to say: "The 'Earn Level' tasks are specific for character levels. Champion Point levels will not count towards it. The December Golden Pursuit campaign is built to still allow max roster players to earn the capstone and freely earn all of the rewards associated with the campaign. They'll have a remaining 24 activities to participate in, with the Capstone being earned at 20 (and none of the activity rewards being on the level activities.) Hey all, thank you for the additional replies - there are many good insights here. Increasing the amount of Q&As/AMAs we do, and adding more regular feedback surveys does seem doable. As Kevin touched on in this post earlier tonight, many of us are going to be out for Thanksgiving holiday, and we'll follow up when we return. We are making an effort to be here on the forums a bit more, and we don't want our lighter presence over the next week to send the wrong message. Sorry to ping you, I'm not sure if quoting you gave a ping or not. Please see my post and the subsequent many, many comments. Plus the 44 entire tabs of discontent on the forum post for this topic. Can we please, please get some help restoring Grim Focus to the way it was visually for the first 10+ years of the game, before the change with Necrom broke it, making it permaglow. The volume of comments show how big an issue this is for the community. If changes will be made to the banners, which can currently be resolved by disabling Effects under Audio, can we please get help for an issue we are unable to fix, the Grim Focus permaglow?

Hey all, it's late but I wanted to hop in and say thank you for the many constructive and thoughtful responses since I last posted, especially those from @Destai @ESO_Nightingale @ForumSavant and @Turtle_Bot. There are fair concerns, criticisms, and suggestions here. While I can't respond to all of them, please know I've read every post and we are discussing best steps forward. I know we've said this before, but we can always do better with our communication. In that line of thought, beyond forum posts what method do you all most prefer for answers to questions? What is the most visible? A Q&A post/article? A Reddit AMA? Something else?

Hey all, adding onto what Kevin posted earlier in this thread we'd like to address a few pieces of feedback we’ve seen about yesterday’s stream and more broadly touch on some of our communication philosophies.
