Many people have had numerous issues receiving emails in prior flights. It's created a lot of confusion, frustration, and support tickets for players and the team. There's no silver bullet solution to send out hundreds of thousands of emails to dozens of different email clients that kind of all handle mass mails a bit differently. We also have internal systems that need to query the Insider database, pull the correct user group, merge in the correct platform key and info, etc..

We'll still get the word out when a flight is beginning (@Halo Support is probably a good account to follow), but Insiders who are interested in participating will need to expend a tiny bit of effort to visit Waypoint, log in, and get their key. We feel it's an acceptable thing to ask in return for more reliable and consistent communications (particularly as the flight groups have grown and exceed 100K active invites on average). But, as with everything, we'll continue to listen and monitor and find ...

For PC, you can purchase an MCC 'bundle' which will come with every game as they're released or you can buy each title individually as they release. I assume this post is referring to MCC on PC and the release of H:CEA yesterday. :)

Unfortunately this means that at the times you're playing, there aren't enough other people in your local area to create a match, so the game finds the next closest data center that does have enough population to initiate a session.

Team is aware and we'll get this added to the Known Issues list.

What playlist did you encounter this in? I'm told 4v4 CTF should be 'flag at home to score.'

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! We still listen to the "angry loud" people - we want to understand potential issues and opportunities that might be detracting from someone's experience / not aligned with the team's goals for the games. However, everyone has a different opinion and with PC, all sorts of nuances and differences in their setups and end results. We need to listen to everyone, and always will, but we can't make everyone happy and do everything everyone wants. :)

CTF flag-at-home rules have always varied and it's a custom setting option. Feels like overall, people are generally split on it. Personally sometimes I like one or the other, depending on map and mood.

Hey ske7ch, I've looked over the known issues list, and other's have pointed out the same to me, but I'm not seeing anything about these specific issues, or the default keybind issue that people mentioned.

Picking up weapons on map shouldn't be an issue anymore, some zooming work was done... Today the team will be reviewing feedback and support tickets and updating Known Issues and their areas. If you are experiencing issues that you dont think are accounted for, please file a ticket at support.halowaypoint.com - this is the best/primary way for the team to track and prioritize issues. Also, as a general rule, please ensure you have the latest Win10 updates, we've seen numerous issues caused by being on older versions of Windows that go away once updated.

Have there been any changes to the Xbox One version of the game?

Xbox One MCC update is coming soon - needed a bit more time. It will include some misc. bug fixes across the collection and the new CEA options like being able to toggle classic audio in MP, the 3d view model for customization, etc.

They explicitly said in the flight they were not working. I would assume they're working now, but I'm really curious if they're just ran in-game and not through the stupid Halo Channel app like MCC on XB1.

They work, but there are a few known issues for scenarios where they can stop working as intended. Should be referenced on the known issue KBA at the support site.

Just to check, MCC got the Halo CE story. Not the MP yet?

I've downloaded the Campaign but my Steam edition seems to stall out trying to download the MP (maybe I'm not giving it enough time but it sits like this)

Assuming you ended up getting this sorted out - a minor issue was discovered on the Steam side right at launch where not all content was accessible. A Steam restart should've resovled (it did for me).

Challenges are still coming and are meant to help bridge that gap between offline/non-matchmade play and still being able to earn some XP and progress. It's taking longer than the team anticipated or would like, but they still plan to bring Challenges to MCC as another avenue for progression.

I wouldn't say it 'solves' the problem, but it's a temp bandaid to help mitgiate the issue somewhat. This is an area the team will continue investigating and working on.

Is this Steam or Microsoft Store? I assume you've tried restarting Steam/client? And rebooting your PC? If you're still stuck, can you please file a bug ticket at support.halowaypoint.com?

A few audio issues are on the Known Issues list - nothing to the extent of what Reach had, but the team is aware and continuing to work on various bugs and issues for the first CEA update.

Check out the development update blog that launched last week at Waypoint. Reach audio isn't updated yet - but the team is making a lot of progress. More info in that blog.

I'm a bit concerned as well, as far as the latest flight for me zooming was broken and inconsistent, switching to secondary weapons was inconsistent, I couldn't pickup any weapons on map.

Check out the Known Issues list and patch notes - a lot of areas were indeed addressed beyond the last flight build. But, there are also some areas that the team is continuing to work on. Goal is to get a solid foundational experience but the work doesn't stop once it's "released" (just like there's more work happening on Reach w/ bug fixing and even new features).

Otherwise, why put it out?

Because it's cool and most people like it? Can't something just be cool without having to check 15 different boxes? :) It also got 100K views in a few hours, so clearly it's creating a little bit of excitement.
