We hear you. We’ll be doing regular updates here in the forums on ~weekly basis from next week where we plug through some forum threads and such, with different subjects from time to time. Watch this space.

We’re looking at adjustments to quest objectives, some of the balance outliers discussed and fixing up bugs and adding some polish.

It won’t be the same build no, but when it comes to larger changes people want to see we’ll be looking to address that stuff in the future.

We appreciate that there are some proper bogeymen - like vanilla crafting, deeds, stacked up resources and the like, and we really are looking at these items for future releases.

Following up, the quests will become consistent between players as expected on my end at least.

Also, I misspoke about the critters being party wide internally, that’s yet to be changed, but the plan is to change it.

Technically these betas use the same progression as your main hero progress, shown by being able to switch between beta and live versions with all in-tact. The only times there’s guaranteed no progress is if tests are held on a standalone application like our Closed Test app. There are risks in progression being altered on these betas, but they would typically just impact very individual areas such as currency (think essence or shillings) or specific statistics that may be specific to the contents of the beta (such as particular challenges for new content in test).

Hopefully before the Age of Sigmar. You know, I’ve learned a bit from experience to dodge timeframes, because we’re just honestly not very good with them.

We’re looking to reduce firstly the number of some of the quest objectives, in particular the “complete X weekly events” and “collect ravaged art” objectives.

I know the original intent for the critter quest was that it be group wide, and I believe this has been corrected internally for the release.

I’ve enquired about the difference in objective counts between players and asked if this is something we’re changing. My assumption this is kind of an A/B test, but you know what they say about assumptions

We’re wrapping up the beta next week, most likely on Monday or Tuesday. As for the beginning of S2, we’ll get back to you on that as soon as possible.

We’re looking to have a ‘hide owned’ option and potentially additional filters, so you can show all of anything for a given career on a single scrollable list, for example. Likely won’t be in from the start but these are options we’re looking to expand on going forward.

We do have some recoloured hats in the Emporium, and more to come. Long term we’d love to be able to offer a more streamlined way of doing this, and we’re looking in to that. It wont be for the launch of the Emporium though.

If you haven’t already, could you please try:

  1. Remove the ‘Certificates’ directory located here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\EasyAntiCheat
  2. Then, proceed to repair Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

You may be prompted to Verify Integrity of Game Files on launch. Keep me posted!

The modded realm uses the same build as the official realm, just requires different boot up processes (such as EAC). Having a beta along side the live game would require double the storage space, which of course is an option for some folks but definitely not for everyone. There are ways to have both downloaded for those who wish to switch in and out without the downloads, but it requires some trickery that can be googled

Could you please provide us with the console log that corresponds with this session? Your console logs can be located using the instructions below:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

Timestamps within the log names should help you identify which log is required. Thank you!

I believe we’ve already spoken on the Steam discussions? In which case the crash log indicates the drivers are corrupted.

Did you try rolling back to an older driver version? Ultimately that may be the only instant solution here, until Nvidia release a newer driver.

Comment

Please copy and paste a crash report in here, and we’ll look in to it.

We should have news before the week is out.

We don’t control that. When Sony pushes the buttons
