I suspect this is a DirectX-related GPU crash (which we’re currently looking in to). Is this a recurring issue for you? If so, could you please switch to DirectX 11 within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu to see if there’s any improvement?

Hi guys

The issue was part of a windows update recently, but setting the output to Stereo instead of Auto fixes it as you guys mentioned.

HappyPepeTheFrog:
Sorry to hear that you feel that way. The backstab issue have been a issue for years, but we in the audio team always thought it was something on our end, but it was actually a design choice that i didn’t know about until recently.

Regarding sound cues, here is how it was designed from the beginning:
Hordes - Normal hordes have their sound cue like the horn and so on.
Ambush Horde - Have never had any cues (Except whispers for Skaven)
Bosses: Ratogre have a cue, Chaos Spawn have a cue, Stormfiend does not, Troll does not
Specials - have no cues (except Gutterrunner), just revealing foley when they roam around.

Now, as you can see we a...

You actually asked me to put a question about beastmen appearing on the old maps in the community poll. I did, and the majority approve. 20% didn’t, out of that 20% were people who wanted a unique beastmen story arc with their own maps.

I just can’t see this from your point of view. It would be like if new careers are added (which they are, first one coming SoonTM) and those careers can only be played on new maps that were released with them. So you can never load those careers into the old maps. That’s just silly…

BTW, thanks for the hotfix FS. I’ll test out some more twitch mode and update.

We just rolled out a hotfix that should tidy up some errors in patch 2.0.11.

Hey @QueenAnne, I’ve responded to your query via the Support Portal to request another crash report (my reply may be in your ‘Spam’ inbox). It would be super if we could continue the conversation there.

Apologies for the late response, we suspect this is related to our anti-cheat service (Easy Anti-Cheat) and is something we need to look deeper in to. Unfortunately we don’t have any solutions to recommend but I wanted to let you know it is something we intend to check out.

Hi guys!

I’m Jonas, sound designer at Fatshark.

Sorry to hear that you have these problems.
I have some questions:

Is all the sounds from the back gone, or just some of them?
Try turn around and listen if 3D sounds are silent when your behind them.
Easiest way would be to find a sound source in the keep, like a fire or something to test with.

Let me know how it goes!

Cheers

I highly doubt they’re going to limit beastmen besides on faction maps like into the nest and skittergate.

Otherwise, what’s the point of the dlc? It’s main selling point is beastmen, oh, but with your suggestion, you’ll only get them on two maps and a few parts of five other maps :joy: at that point, why bother? Just remove them… basically, I don’t see this ever happening. You could always just remove the WoM DLC and you won’t get them in your games. You’ll still have the dlc weapons and stuff if you uninstall WoM after you’ve unlocked them.

I think beastmen should be treated like the different careers of the characters. If you take HM, she’s been a HM since the start of V2. Likewise, beastmen have always been here since the start of V2. If a new character was added, you would treat it as if they’ve always been there since the start.

I get them every other day. While I’m not super mega excited about this patch, I hope this fixes them. Nothing like starting up the game and immediately seeing a backend error before you load into the keep.

Heroes!

Welcome to Patch 2.0.11, bringing you some minor fixes.

With patch 2.0.11 you will experience less backend errors related to opening chests, crafting and receiving backend errors at the end of maps. We have improved the retrying behavior by changing the time it takes on backend requests, players will not be experiencing any major difference in the game aside from less instances of losing out on hard earned loot.

In the coming updates we hope to release an update with a balancing pass for the Beastmen. The Vermintide 2 team is currently working hard on taming the beasts.
