Hi @S0L0,
I believe I’ve already replied to your thread on the Vermintide 2 Steam forums
Will copy my respose below here too:
Thanks for the log! It’s a shot in the dark, but I can see some unusual references around the time you experience the COULDNT_RESOLVE_HOST error.
Can you please try the following:
Ensure you have the latest Steam client updates and Windows updates installed
Disable any Razer Chroma plugins/software
Please let me know if the errors persist after or not.
This one may be mod-related. I can see multiple errors in the log pertaining to the Crosshair Kill Confirmation mod. Please try disabling this (and possibly all mods) and check if the issue persists.
Good suggestion above. I recommend monitoring your temps while playing.
You may find potential solutions here helpful too:
Read moreI suspect this crash is mod-related. I can see an unusual reference for UI Tweaks so I recommend to try disabling this first. Failing that, please try disabling all mods and re-introducing them 1-by-1.
Please let me know how it goes!
Hi @General_Kenobi,
EAC released a small update last week, and another yesterday - so I believe this may be related to that.
Some other players have had a similar issue, and found that by restarting Steam or Verifying Integrity of Game Files the issue resolved (though EAC still loaded slowly initially and needed a short wait) - I recommend trying this.
To Verify Integrity of Game Files:
Please let me know how you get on.
I believe you need to pick up more than five skulls.
Hi @FirmestTexas79,
Can you please provide me with your Steam profile URL (e.g. https://steamcommunity.com/id/FatsharkLev/) so we can take a look at this?
Thanks!
@Fashinok, could you please provide us with a screenshot of the store page and what you are able to see?
The bundle page should be there, and adding the bundle to cart should adjust the price if you already own the base career. Seeing what you see will be helpful for us to identify the issue hopefully!
Also, can you please check the list of all DLC in the store and see if the bundle or cosmetic upgrade is available there?
@Fashinok, hmm okay thank you for confirming. I’ve passed this on internally and we’ll need to take a look at this. Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.
Hi @Fashinok,
Sorry to hear this.
Can you please try the following - select the Outcast Engineer career and scroll down to the bundle, then from the bundle page are you able to add just the Outcast Engineer Cosmetic Upgrade to your cart for purchase?
Please let me know!
Hi @spcarlin,
Thanks for the info and confirming. Also, just to check, do you have the Steam Overlay enabled? As this is required for any in-game purchases to work.
If the issue still persists, then next I recommend to try Verifying Integrity of Game Files:
Hi @Kurisuchan,
Can you please check again now? I suspect this issue was my fault as I input a section of code to your account with an additional “,” by mistake. Now this has been removed I’m hoping the error should resolve. Please let me know!
Hi @all,
I’ve spoken with one of our Audio Developers about this, and they suggested to try the following please:
Set Audio Channels to Stereo headphones (or speakers if you use speakers)
Set Audio Quality to ‘High’
If this still doesn’t work as intended, there may be some local changes to your sound (e.g. some surround/5.1 headphones come with software to emulate surround or spatial sound) - please try disabling this if so.
From the testing we’ve done everything appears to be okay, but if there are cases where sounds are definitely not playing for you, then a video if possible of this happeni...

I recommend running through our performance solutions here - hopefully something will do the trick!
