@kuli, that’s my bad! I saved to the wrong sub-category when I added the tag

This issue is on our radar, and only affects the old UI. Thanks for the report!

Ah, that’s interesting to hear! As you’re not crashing on launch, then the exit/error codes in your logs may have been printed incorrectly then

Good spot with the RAM and :crossed_fingers: that replacing it will do the trick!

@lysolet, glad to hear stability has improved!

This crash differs and is an Access Violation type crash. Did this crash occur when trying to launch Vermintide 2?

The exit code in the log “0xFA718003” and the error “Access Violation (0xc0000005)” usually point towards an issue with Anti-Virus/Firewall.

If you find that the crashing persists, then I recommend ensuring you have appropriate Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place. Please try adding following exceptions:

  • vermintide2.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries
  • vermintide2_dx12.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12
  • ...

I’m afraid there’s nothing I can reveal here for now that wasn’t already said in the dev blog, we’ll be able to reveal more once we’re ready

Can confirm that this will be fixed in the patch this week!

Consoles will still get the Anniversary event, so the new Frame, the ‘A Quiet Drink’ map, double XP, all the goodies.

Other than that, we have other content in the works other than Versus in the near future, and this content will come for consoles.

Hi @Madrock,

Sorry to hear this!

So we can look into this, could you please provide me with your console log from a session this issue occurred?

To do so:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload the appropriate console log

Thanks in advance!

We’ll be revealing more details on Thursday, but it’ll mostly be quite similar. There’s some adjustments made in response to feedback from the Closed Alpha Test as well as some other minor additions.

Heroes, It’s been six years! You’ve been slaying rats, northlanders, goats, and sometimes each other (More on that later, eh?) and we couldn’t be more grateful that you’re still around, having fun with our game. At the end of the day, this game wouldn’t be worth making if it wasn’t for you guys, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this great community!

The 6-year anniversary event will start on all platforms on March 7 and finish on March 17. As always, our heroes will be able to celebrate by having a proper night out in the ‘A Quiet Drink’ map, which will be enabled alongside the event. There’s also a brand-new portrait frame to go along with it, as well as double XP!

But that’s not all! We’re doing something special to go along with this particular celebration…!

Versus Alpha Test, open to all owners of Vermintide 2 on PC! You probably know this if you saw last week’s dev blog, but we’re holding another Alpha Test... Read more

Not sure if I’m at liberty to share the numbers we see on live backend day to day, but I can post what I said earlier on Reddit as this line in the dev blog makes it seem like the amount of new players playing the alpha is larger than it is.

We were pretty open we sent out 10k keys pulled from who registered in our sign ups, of which the vast majority had 100+ hours, so the vast majority of those keys were players with 100+ hours. Whether they actually tested the game mode they signed up for and filled out the survey is a different matter entirely (activate your keys and do the surveys, folks!).

Brand new players, and players with lower hours have access to this game mode, too and it’s a playerbase we don’t get to hear too often from, so we felt it important to get their feedback as well, so we can make a game mode that works for veterans and new players.

This next alpha is open to all owners of V2, so if you didn’t get a chance to test or your worr...

Greetings Heroes and Pactsworn alike,
My name is Joakim and I’m the Design Director for Vermintide 2. In this dev blog, I want to look at some findings from the Versus Closed Alpha Test and give you an update on the state of Versus.

To kick this off I want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you who participated in the Closed Alpha Test. From a developer standpoint, it is always a scary feeling putting things out to you players for initial impressions, but we came out of this with the feeling of overwhelming success. You seemed to have a good time, we got a ton of good feedback, the servers were fairly stable and we did not see any overly alarming crashes or issues preventing play. In short, we couldn’t have hoped for anything more.

Now, on to some stats!

The Closed Alpha Test saw slightly over 3600 players on PC participating in a total of 6056 rounds across 2093 games. The overall majority of those ended up with a clear winner, with 7% en... Read more

In this dev blog, Vermintide 2’s Design Director, Joakim, talks about the takeaways and solves that Fatshark learned from the Versus Closed Alpha Test.

Vermintide is set on the beginnings of the End Times, long after Mordheim was leveled by Magnus the Pious. I agree that the setting is really cool, though, wish we could explore it proper.

Hi @PhonkEnjoyer,

Sorry to hear this.

Historically, Backend Error 1010 has been linked to temporary server disruption and usually clears up after a short period.

Is the error still occurring now?
