All missiles in War Thunder have limited all aspect capabilities below 1km if the target is afterburning and has a significant heat signature. This is not exclusive to SRAAM.

SRAAM is a thrust vectoring missile. Immediately after launch, the missile takes up an intercept course in whatever direction the target is flying at and directly predicts where it will go.
In this case, at only 0.54km away from the launch, you are well within both the range and envelop of the missile, ultimately killed by its proximity fuse.
As such, this is working as intended.

Huge difference between adding content people want and expanding BR ranges when we have explained time and time again why thats not possible to do every time people want it to be done.

You also missed the point where for every 1 of these jets for other nations, there are likely 5 other examples for the US we must add.
