• Fixed a bug that prevented the NPC Tyrion from turning back into a quest-giver at the conclusion of the quest “The Attack!”

  • The Coarse Dynamite thrown by civilian dwarf NPCs at Dun Modr should no longer cause players to become PvP flagged.
  • Developers’ notes: These specific NPCs had a very small chance to hit you and flag you, so it may as well be zero chance. Nonetheless, we do not intend to make changes to the general behavior of enemy faction guards in Hardcore. Players who wish to avoid being flagged for PvP should avoid enemy faction settlements and quests labeled “PvP” in the Quest Log.

  • Developer’s note: In Guardians of the Dream we are updating all 4 Rogue talent trees to bring them up to current standards. A sweeping pass was needed to make significant adjustments to address notable concerns, like: moving the first gate from row 3 to row 4 to match all other classes; improving pathing and increasing interconnectedness on every tree; removing 3-point nodes; and reducing the percentage of minor DPS talents taken in the Class tree to make room for more flavorful and robust utility options. We also wanted to use the opportunity where so many things are changing to rework or redesign some talents that needed the update, and also just to make some new talents to experience and (hopefully) enjoy.   • Shiv damage increased by 20%.

Something has been plaguing me for days, and now I can finally point my thinking cap to the right place (-198, -84).

There was definitely a bug preventing the matchmaker from launching Battleground Blitz on the PTR.

This is now resolved.

It is taking a little while to stabilize the Arcane Forge permanently.

This will result in more arcane disturbances in Valdrakken, with the last one projected to be at 2:00 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, September 13, which means more time to get the limited time Feat of Strength Arcane Influence.

Thereafter, the forge will be permanently empowered for you to continue crafting your Mimiron’s Jumpjets.

Quests

• Chromie now offers “No Limits”, a questline delving into Eternus’s past, without requiring the Dawn of the Infinites dungeon to be completed.
• When “Stepping into the Shadows”, Maiev Shadowsong should no longer point at invisible Felflame Braziers.
• Moraidormi now stops disappearing and Nozdormu will enter stealth more appropriately during the quest “Not Today, Fate.”
• Demon Hunters who previously could not interact with the Control Console can now return to The Fel Hammer continue with their Order Hall campaign.
• Tinkmaster Overspark is visible, and “The Legend of Mechagon” is once again available to players above level 60.

This update to how Rank is calculated will be implemented and utilized by the weekly calculations that take place on Tuesday, and will account for any DKs already committed in the current week.

We’ve always intended for Dishonorable Kills to reduce Rank.

We’ve been working to correct that. In higher ranks, players have been intentionally earning dishonorable kills to lower themselves below their current rank threshold in order to gain credit for an additional rank bucket, thereby allowing them to gain progress more quickly than a player who is just above that upper rank threshold.

It’s not our intention to reward players for gaining dishonorable kills. To remedy this, we’re making a change to the way we reward points for a player’s current rank during weekly calculations.

Retribution

(2) Set Bonus: Expurgation lasts an additional 3 seconds and deals 50% increased damage. Casting Judgment or Divine Toll on a target with Expurgation causes Wrathful Sanction, dealing Holy damage to the target and resonating 20% of the Holy damage up to 4 nearby enemies.

(4) Set Bonus: Wrathful Sanction grants you Echoes of Wrath, causing your next Templar’s Verdict or Divine Storm to deal damage a second time at 50% effectiveness. This effect does not consume Judgment.

Random Dungeon Finder

The first iteration of the Wrath Classic random dungeon finder is now available for testing.

You’ll see options to queue for individual dungeons as well as Normal Dungeons, Heroics, Defense Protocol Alpha, Defense Protocol Beta, and Defense Protocol Gamma. Please use the random dungeon finder to queue for Defense Protocol Gamma dungeons and let us know what you think.

• For this test environment only, the item-level requirement for using RDF to group for Titan Rune Gamma dungeons is 200. This is intended to streamline testing in an environment with template characters and upgrade vendors available.
