While CVs are capped at 1 per side at Tier 10, it is unfortunately not beneficial to do at lower tiers due to the increased queue times it would create for both CV and Non-CV players. We do understand the challenges multiple CVs can create so please see today's Dev blog which will hopefully address some of them.

We continue to work on improving the game-play of aircraft carriers and today we would like to tell you about the changes that are being prepared for the next few updates.

Please remember that plans sometimes change.

The information below is preliminary, meaning deadlines may be moved and additional points may be added.

Update 0.8.4 will add a period of time at the beginning of each battle during which aircraft carrier squadrons is unable to take off due to them having to go through some initial servicing. This change, takes into account the time it takes squadrons to reach the targets, will allow ships on both teams to start moving to the control points, and take advantageous positions before any squadrons are in the air.



The Engine Cooling consumable has been standardized for all aircraft. Now the consumable will give the same increase in speed at all tiers - 35 knots (40 fo...

Teste público, mudanças para Graf Zeppelin e Hakuryu

Os bombardeiros Graf Zeppelin conseguiram várias melhorias:

Penetração da armadura aumentada em 11 mm.


O tempo de ataque aumentou de 6 s para 8 s.


A velocidade de queda da bomba aumenta em 13%.


Elipses internas e externas ligeiramente reduzidas em tamanho.


Essas mudanças tornarão os bombardeiros de mergulho Graf Zeppelin mais confortáveis de usar.

A alternativa do Hakuryu J5N Tenrai Type 91 mod. 8 torpedos também obtiveram algumas melhorias:

Redução do tempo de preparação do ataque de 5 a 2,5 segundos.


Alvejando a velocidade durante a preparação aumentada.


Tempo de ataque reduzido de 10 a 8 segundos.


O alcance reduzido do torpedo varia de 1182 a 698 metros.

Los bombarderos Graf Zeppelin consiguieron varias mejoras:

Hey Khafni, the intent of these changes is to make adjustments which will increase options available to DD players when targeted by CVs (especially bombing). While I have no doubt your experience feels accurate, did that captain state to you he wasn't paying attention? How can you be certain you would have hit him if he wasn't shooting something?

Overall the goal of these changes is not penalize CVs but ensure proper balance between ship interactions (and in this case that's CV vs DDs). Again keep in mind this is going to PT and if adjustments need to be made, we'll absolutely make them.

Graf Zeppelin bombers got several improvements:

Armor penetration increased by 11 mm.


Attack time increased from 6 to 8 s.


Bomb falling speed increased by 13%.


Inner and outer ellipses slightly reduced in size.

Due to the behavior of the aircraft at the beginning of the attack, the use of Graf Zeppelin dive bombers is noticeably different from the dive bombers of other aircraft carriers. These changes will make the use of Graf Zeppelin squadrons more comfortable.

Hakuryu’s alternative J5N Tenrai Type 91 mod. 8 torpedo bombers also got some improvements:

Attack preparation time reduced from 5 to 2.5 s.


Aiming speed during preparation increased.


Attack time lowered from 10 to 8 seconds.


Torpedo arming range reduced from 1182 m to 698 m.

As stated by other captains above you have a few more days to take advantage of this bonus! Make you sure you are playing all the ships you want to progress on and don't forget to equip the signal flags for even more XP!

Question: Are there any ships you are grinding to get a big chunk of XP with this bonus? This is a question for all captains.
