Hello, Captains!
A new DevBlog has been posted here: https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/379
Please leave any feedback you have here.
Thank you!
Hello! Maybe you remember, was it fixed after re-login? It will be useful info for us.
We're looking to have a full set of information on this. I don't have an ETA, but "Soon(tm)" wouldn't be irrelevant.
This is very important and we're trying to make sure we have all the information ready for folks.
I've had Premium Time for most of my account life. The Midway game where I reached 3300+ would have been during that time.
I'm not sure why the Profile data records post-Premium Time, but it is a thing.
You can search "How It Works World of Warships (Topic)" in YouTube, or you can use the in-game section.
From Port, select the Gears in the Top-Left:
Then go to "Video Tutorials":
Then Profit! er... Watch!
It does, yes. You can learn about how Credits/Base XP is awarded in this video!
It's worth remembering that rewards aren't based on Damage in a number-sense. Rewards (Credits/Base XP) are doled out based on %health done. Half the health on a DD is worth the same as half the health of a BB, even though the BB's healthpool might be 5 times larger.
Submarines are loot pinatas in the same way as Destroyers.
It would depend on if you're Radar or not. If Radar, then having an extra charge of Radar would be quite impactful (and TRB). If smoke, then it's down to your value on TRB since you will have enough smokes in general.
Looks like my highest was a Midway game. 5455 / 1.65 = 3306 Base XP!
Less active players do have the option of a 50k Free XP Submarine Container. It has a nearly 30% chance to pull a Sub, and rewards 70k Free XP if a Sub isn't dropped. That isn't going to assure a Submarine for everyone, but it is something which helps with availability.
Otherwise, a player would need to do the personal challenges to get Submarine Tokens. That's not a small task, but it's certainly doable.
Co-Op is available for all the ships in our game to play. There's no reason to expect that to change.
To my knowledge, the only Operation with Submarines is Operation Wolfpack. I don't have any updates otherwise.
I did ask if we'd be able to offer Halloween Operations/Operation Wolfpack as their own modes for queue'ing, but we didn't have UI (User Interface) in place to make that happen. The decision to return for the Operation-of-the-Week format for this Update was part Update-Event and part legacy coding (as Operation of the Week always existed prior to 0.11.8).
Here's a general concept for each class. Our game has a wealth of depth to it, so there's a lot of information that goes much deeper than this.
Carriers - Resource-based Decision-class. Do you help the left flank? The right flank? Do you go for damage or for team influence? Do you push your hull forward or hide?
Battleships - Tough Threat-class. You can take positions and be hard to dislodge due to armor. Your guns are very threatening because of their size, but your accuracy is low to prevent you from one-shotting everything~
Cruiser - Utility Middle-ground class. You have more consistent damage output, consumable options (hydro/radar), mediocre armor, decent speed, medium health... You can provide assistance in many situations, but you are not as sneaky as a Destroyer and not as tanky as a Battleship.
Destroyer - Frontline Stealth-class. Destroyers have very low ...
