[2022] Keyboard, mouse & controller issue

First of all I am really sorry to hear that your mouse and the keyboard do not respond while in game.

I went through the detailed description you wrote and it seems to me that you have performed plenty of troubleshooting steps including disabling the background applications.
As far as I understand it all worked fine and you were not stuck in the menus before the PC restart, correct?
Have you tried to use another keyboard and/or a mouse in a testing purposes and check the game behavior?
Can you try one more time to disconnect all the peripherals, reinstall the game into another location and see if it will change the situation?

@robert301 Thank you for the details. Would you also clarify the current Windows OS you are running?

If possible, upload a screenshot of your 'command' menu so I can get a better look at the input settings for Valhalla. Just in case, please clear cache for Ubisoft Connect before launching the game as administrator.

I apologise for the delayed response. Just to clarify, is the issue you're encountering that your keybinding settings reset every time you load the game to default? So after changing your key binding for Hugr Rip from Q to F12, it will reset to Q again after reloading the game. Is this correct?

If this is the case, would you be able to provide us with some additional information?

• Does this reset only happen for the Hugr Rip command? Or do other custom key bindings reset when reloading the game?
• Do only your key bindings reset? Or have you noticed other in-game settings resetting (such as difficulty)?
• Are you able to provide a video which demonstrates the reset happening following a game reset? This would be helpful for investigating this behaviour in-game further.

I'd recommend uploading any videos to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread we can take a closer look at.

@Gordan301 Hello! I'm so sorry to hear that you're still having this issue, and I apologize for any frustration caused! I hope we can get this figured out so that you can finally enjoy playing the game. It looks like we had reached out to specialists regarding your case before, and they had asked to try the following troubleshooting:

• Create a new Windows profile with Admin Rights
• Only install Valhalla and Ubisoft Connect on this profile
• Perform a clean boot into the new profile
• Launch the game with only the mouse/keyboard plugged in (no other peripherals, not even a headset)

If that still does not help, what happens if you hit Alt + Tab to switch between windows? Also, could we get a video of the issue to be able to check visually what's happening? Once you have a video, please upload it to a website like YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us here.
