These are awesome, great creations Phobox!
Clearly, Issue #2 would be a mighty impressive read too, since it's all about the Interceptor and all. :)

I mean, that's what I figured. But that's the least desired method to be honest. It's 2019. LOL
Statistically (if things work according to our models), the average populations for Freeplay servers should be just under 3 - so on average there should be room for your friend to hop in... that said, things get more complicated if you have more folks you want to play Freeplay with.
Anyways, big picture - if it sucks, we'll figure out ways to make it better π.
Thanks Brenon. What about joining friends who are already in freeplay, and not in an organized party of 4 (in the world with 3 randoms)? Do they have to back out of their activity so that they can be joined?
I believe what happens is if you try to squad up with a friend who's in a full server, you'll get a message saying "server is full" or something like that.
They'd have to leave, or join you instead and then you could go do whatever. Hope that helps! π
Not yet. I tried tweeting some Devs on Twitter. Tying to see if it will be later after so many months. Maybe /u/benirvo can help?
After a certain period of time it can be made available. TBD when we decide to do that.
Sea of thieves went thru the same exact situation. All parties were open on launch and if someone gets disconnected midway thru playing, then a random would be able to take their spot almost right away, which in turn the party would have to back out completely and be remade. It took a couple months before invite only parties were a thing. Now the good news is that one of the devs mentioned in a video is that you do have that window of opportunity to join back in and maintain the loot you got throughout the dungeon, but wasn't direct on any sort of timeframe and also wasn't direct if that spot would be held for that specific person who got disconnected in the first place. Everything that I mentioned before is moot if invite only sessions are a thing, but I have yet to see any evidence.
There's a reservation system that holds your spot if you crash out. It holds it for a few minutes or so before it opens up for someone else (assuming it's public). π
I beat you to it by 2 minutes! :)
glad to see I was right.
Debug is obvious... by why 3 different fre builds. Different telemetry flags?
Ha, I was too slow! π
Yeah basically... Release is where most devs do their work. Final is the closest we can get to retail performance and still have some ability to debug or log things.
That's the build configuration of the binary - if you're a programmer it'd probably make a bit more sense π.
At a super high level you can think of how optimized the binary is by the compiler and how many debug features are enabled.
We have four build configurations we use for Anthem (Debug, Release, Final and Retail).

Whether it's other people on the sub or the devs/artists/community managers, etc. I say this because I remember the launch of Andromeda, and because I've worked in some form of customer service most of my adult life.

I am ULTRA hype for this game. I think it's going to be amazing and can't wait to get my hands on it. If though, after launch, for whatever reason you absolutely hate this game and think that Bioware or EA, or whoever, shit the bed and it has ruined your life...please, please remember the human.

Constructive criticism is valid and absolutely needed to improve the game, but it's up to us to help not spread hate or fall into hive mind toxicity on here and other social platforms. Don't retweet nasty shit, tell your friends not to be dicks if you see it outside of reddit. A lot of people that just want to work in an industry they love put a TON of their hard work and care into the game no matter h...
We will screw up. We will disappoint you in the execution of your favorite feature. The important thing is you let us know. Then it's on us to listen, let you know how we're going to fix it, then fix it. And it may not be as fast as you would like, or we would like, but we're going to do the best we can. We're all aiming for the same thing: a fantastic, growing game with a great community.
The question is if it will continue after launch and if its as much as we got up to launch.
If they drop off the face of the planet after the 22nd then its nothing to care about. And AFAIK there's no Bioware Community Manager. Its the Lead Producers mostly replying and they are definitely going to be busy with post launch content.
As u/BiowareBen once said...hold my beer π. We intend on sticking around and continuing to communicate the good, bad and ugly.

We will do our best to continue, we agree thatβs the correct path forward
Just a quick question, not sure if it's been asked yet. I received a vip demo access code from a generous redditer and it says on the EA site that "you have vip demo access", but I don't see it in my origin library at all. Will it just magically appear on my origin library closer to the vip demo date?
It should magically appear tomorrow, you may have to say poof to the screen at some point for it to appear. If it hasnt appeared, Grabbits may have stolen it - at which point, we suggest you get in touch with support.
So, I have origin access premiere. Will I see the download to the beta/demo tomorrow on the 23rd? Cause as of now I dont see it.
Correct, it should appear tomorrow.
Ea Access members(4 euro one) get access to the beta on friday?
Yes, EA Access members will get access to the VIP Demo.
I heard thst ps4 can only preload the same day. Is that correct
All platforms will be able to preload tomorrow, being told that the preload will be live at Midnight UTC too. Hope that helps!
So does the system require choosing your alliance, or is it just your top 5 friends for the week?
Whoever your to 5 friends are for that week. Magic!
Is this enjoyable as a single player experience?
Destiny, The Division and games like them are playable as single player experiences, but you will not get far and half the game is unavailable to single players. Is this similar?
It is absolutely similar, you can experience almost all of the content on your own - and decide the difficulty that you want to experience that content at.
However being alone will make it difficult to do damage combos (although you still would be able to if you are clever with your loadouts).
But yes, as this is an online game - you decide how much you want to interact with others. Start small, work your way up ;)
is the vip demo going to be downloadable before the release of it ?
Yes, you'll be able to preload on January 23rd (tomorrow!!)
Are you able to buy the Legion of Dawn edition as an upgrade for the standard edition? Like how you're able to buy the deluxe upgrade for BattleField V.
There is no information regarding this, right now the only route for the Legion of Dawn armor set would be to order the Legion of Dawn Edition (or via Origin Access Premier for the PC community).
If this changes, we'll make sure to speak about it.
What do the symbols in the flairs mean? I know PC, PS4 and Xbox, I'm talking about the symbols next to them.
Hey there, I've put together a quick image to show you the Javelin Symbols in relation to their names. Check it out here
Hope that helps!
About the Legion of Dawn edition armor set:
Can these armor be acquired later in the game? It is not clear to me.
You can only acquire the Legion of Dawn armor set via purchasing the Legion of Dawn edition or via Origin Access Premier. Preordering the standard edition would grant you access to the Legion of Dawn - Legendary Ranger pack.
