That my good sir, is the real question! I can't decide between Interceptor and storm. I have always been an AoE caster player at heart no matter the game: WoW, Neverwinter, Elder Scrolls, you name it. But the Interceptor looks so flashy and cool, and I love the get in and get the hell out look of the play style. Send help, my mind is on overload lol.

So I’m actually going through a similar identity crisis. See I ALWAYS play the tank. WoW, Rift, Guild Wars, Division, Dragon Age, pffft you name it.

But that Interceptor... hoooooly sh*t.

I will say I feel like the team really captured the “all-powerful-wizard” power fantasy with the Storm. If that’s your normal go-to, you won’t be disappointed this time.

Holy crap... you responded, even though the answer is slightly disappointing.

I don’t think I have ever seen this before. Usually every response is specifically focused on PR. If it isn’t for the best, nothing is said. But you actually responded, even knowing that the answer isn’t something we may not be pleased with.

Listen, u/BioCamden, THIS is how you keep a healthy community. THIS is how you make a game. Not picking and choosing the parts that only benefit sales of the game, but telling us EXACTLY what the game entails so that we can make a justified purchase.

I despise EA. They’ve let me down far too many times with disdainful predatory practices and games of poor quality. They’ve single handedly killed Star Wars gaming.

I was interested in Anthem the moment I was aware of it, but of course, I saw the EA icon and immediately tagged out. However, BioWare is an integral part of my childhood. In an effort to at least st...

NexusPatriot, thank you so much. I hope that I can fill those big shoes you’ve laid out for me haha. I certainly will try. Saving this comment because at some point in the future I may want to look back and be reinvigorated or remind myself why I’m here. This is why. Thank you again.

No, thank you, the community for being one of the warmest communities one could wish for.

He was, he omitted SWBFII but I am around on all three. Don't worry, he won't get rid of me that easily :) Enjoy the demo later today dude!

This is awesome! Looking forward to your trademark screenshots and videos for Anthem, Vicente!

Don't mind that big EA symbol too much, i'm a gamer and a person above everything. I've been around for a lot of years, check out my twitter or my reddit comments - Im pretty casual :). It takes nothing to wish someone well in their journey, just doing my bit <3.

Hey u/BenIrvo u/BioCamden ,sorry for the mention but there's a few questions I haven't seen being asked nor answered.
Will Anthem feature any way for the players to know how well they performed in the mission? Aka dps/damage done, damage taken, headshots, revives, etc
Also, how will the servers be allocated? Will there be regions like NA/EU/CN/AU or will we connect to one big server? This is mainly aimed at how the average user ping will be.
Will there be a way for us to check our ping too?

1) there are medals at the end of an expedition that reflect your contributions to the mission. It’s not specific stats like in your question 2) there are servers located around the world, we match you to the closest one 3) I don’t think so, I’m sure someone will work out a way to ping them out of game

Thank you Axel! What are you going to pick?!

u/BioCamden Wow tnx for answering and kudos for being so transparent, even if it’s not always the exact answer the community wants to hear!

Well, will be a hard choice then, but understandable as it’s a Demo ;)

Maybe I’ll create another EA account if I am desperate after a bad choice, but since the Demo is going to be overall less difficult, I don’t see that happening! Best dev team ever :D

Thanks for the positive support and reinforcement, I needed that. :)

Whaaaa that’s awesome hah. I would have geeked out for sure.

I think that's an awesome attitude to be going in with, and very encouraging to hear! I for one am pumped to try the demo tomorrow, and see what else you guys have in store for us.

Knowing the game can be a live, evolving thing is really cool, and I certainly plan to do what I can to share my feelings with you guys as it goes. Knowing that it's not falling on deaf ears and actually makes a difference makes it feel worthwhile, and much as that seems like it should be a given these days, it really isn't.

Kudos to you guys, and keep up the good work! I'll be jumping in at launch tomorrow :)

Thank you topher347, appreciate the reply and heartfelt sentiment. Can't wait for you to try it and tell me what you think.

Hey! So the plan is that everyone starts with the Ranger Javelin at level 10. At level 12 you have the choice of unlocking one of the other 3 remaining Javelins. Also from what I understand progress and account state will be retained between the two demo sessions. No way to reset your demo account to try the other two.

u/bretsenking tagging for visibility.

Not that I know of... I hope so! That would be pretty cool.

I plan on primarily playing on PC but I know several folks who will be mainly on console. It’s certainly possible :)

I really hope it stays as awesome and positive as it currently is after launch. So far the devs have been the best I've seen of listening to the community and reacting, the launch bay being an awesome example of this.

This sub staying positive and constructive will hopefully encourage that relationship. They've already shown they can take suggestions and roll with them, and very quickly at that. If people start spamming demands and being negative it's probably going to discourage them.

Basically, I'm sure the game won't be perfect post launch, and will have things we'd like to see, or have changed. I think as long as we keep up expressing both points we like, and improvements we'd like to see, but doing both in a civil and positive way, we can keep that up with the awesome dev team, and this game will be great for a long time to come.

The plan is to stay active regardless of the state of the game and the subreddit. We know there will be challenges, awesome moments, laughs, frustrations, etc and we plan on being here through all of it.

Launch is just the next milestone, we’re already working and planning many milestones after it. We’ll need your help and feedback to be agile enough to change course where we need to.

I'm beyond hyped for Anthem. Grindy, loot based games are among my favorite. I pre-ordered, bought the Prima guide, and got a few posters for the game room. I love the direction this game is going. I was very hyped for the demo, but duty called.

I'm now floating in the ocean (Navy), so I'm going to miss 6ish weeks of Anthem fun. The internet isn't sufficient for Youtube, so I'm reaching out to fellow Freelancers for pictures of Javelin builds, paint jobs, etc. I'm not worried about spoilers or anything like that. If anybody could link me to their pictures or PM to me, i would be very grateful. I want to feel included as much as possible in this awesome community.

Thank you Freelancers everywhere!

Edit* This took off more than I expected. Anyone playing on PC, PM me your Origin info and we can group up in the future.

Thank you agregg81, know that there will be a Javelin in the launch bay waiting for you when you get back. Strong alone, stronger together.

While true, a huge part of the team (Ben included) are already eyeballs deep in the Live Service plan and making sure we continue to deliver new experiences to you ASAP. We’re taking our breaths where we can but our job is far from over.

I've been following it on and off since 2014 but I was going to wait, along with all of my friends, until a few weeks in to see if it was the real deal.

I speak for all of my friends when I say that you two single handedly inspired enough confidence for 7 additional game purchases. Keep up the PHENOMENAL work.

This means a lot. Just know that we’ll be here after launch come hell or high water too. Can’t wait to play with y’all soon.
