Energy rounds are always the fastest in their weapon class. Fun fact, the highest velocity rounds in the game are fired by the Devotion

Edit: We saw this post and are taking it seriously. It's definitely not intended behavior for projectiles from the same weapon to take a variable amount of time to hit the same target. I was adding some info about the general design of how energy rounds should be different, which was not really on topic, so it was confusing. My bad

I wonder if this is intentional? I would think maybe the Peacekeeper is intentional, since it has the Precision Choke slot, but the EVA 8 doesn't, so I'm not sure.

EDIT: I was curious if someone else noted this and searched "Peacekeeper spread" on this subreddit and just found this thread, which shows essentially the same thing but clearer. Going to keep my post up because it seems some people are still learning from it, but do check out u/Handsome_Claptrap's thread if you want to see the spread shown more clearly.

the thread you linked is pretty good.

the only weapon not mentioned in that post with default ADS choke is the Triple Take... and with the Precision Choke hopup equipped it chokes it down even more over time while ADS.

Awesome! You should consider finishing this thing.

I'd personally try changing the hats at the end of the second drop to 16th note triplets after each kick. Should give it the variety that'll lead nicely into the coming break / verse.

Hey Friends,

So between the datamining and the unintentional update about Season 1 on Origin today, there’s been a lot of speculation and confusion so we wanted to give some clarity:

  • We’ll be providing details on Season 1, Battle Pass, and the next Legend very soon. It’s not coming out today.
  • There’s lots of stuff that has been datamined from Apex since launch and is swirling around the Internet. We know this stuff is fun to dig up and speculate about, but you should not treat any of that info as a source of truth. There’s stuff in there that is very old, or things we’ve tried in the past and cut--remember our design process is to prototype and play lots of ideas--and some of it may be things we’re still building for Apex Legends. Finding this stuff by no means confirms that it’ll ever come out. At best you should treat any posts about this as a rumor and the real info will come from us when we’re ready to show off what’s coming next.

I do, but I’m completely not at liberty to say what it is. Unfortunately, even estimated dates tend to get taken as a promise, and if they slip people get angry. I leave to the folks here that make the official announcements.

What I don't like is how you don't receive XP when you quit the game, WHEN EVEN YOUR BANNER HAS TIMED OUT. Really don't f**king get that one.

Edit. I don't leave when I'm downed, I will wait until squad dies or my banner times out (if not playing with friends). I don't want to spend 10min watching camping randoms to save all my xp being stripped...

This should be remedied in the next major update.

No please, never do this unless you make a ranked mode.

As noted by MANY players, a disconnection or a crash that isn't in the ability of the player will cause a 5-minute ban which is very unfair.

If someone is pissed that he cannot press leave match and press "Ready" because a teammate left then it shouldn't affect the entire community.

Any implementation will take these (and other) issues into account. We would never do something so simple as “penalty for any disconnect”.

No promises - but how would you like to see this implemented, if we were to do it? I've seen games that provide simple steps (50%, 75%, 100%), or a slider/number input - wondering if there's a best-in-class out there. Additionally, any desire to expose supersampling? We provide dynamic supersampling, which essentially renders up to 4x the pixels if your GPU can handle it - but its dynamic so that it maintains the requested framerate when possible. Would there be interest in, say, rendering at locked 4K on a 1080p screen?

Again, no promises on ANY development work going in to this at this point - but I'm interested in hearing feedback. Thanks!

Before we head into the weekend we wanted to touch on some topics:

CHEATERS

As of today we’ve banned over 355K players on PC through Easy-Anti-Cheat. The service works but the fight against cheaters is an ongoing war that we’ll need to continue to adapt to and be very vigilant about fighting. We take cheating very seriously and care deeply about the health of Apex Legends for all players.

We are working on improvements to combat cheaters and we’re going to have to be pretty secretive about our plans. Cheaters are crafty and we don’t want them to see us coming. With that said, we can share some high levels things we’re doing:

  • We are reaching out and working directly with experts, both within and outside of EA, in this area that we can learn from.
  • Scaling up our anti-cheat team so we have more dedicated resources.
  • We are adding a report feature on PC to report cheaters in game that go...
