Hey Survivors! Welcome to the latest edition of the Community Crunch!

Introducing... Classic PvP Game Mode!

Classic PvP is a new competitive player experience for PC players which focuses on the PvP experience from the days of old. This new game mode will be available specifically on our PC PvP network on April 2nd.

The Classic PvP servers are a Snail Games initiative to shake up the current PvP meta. To kickstart this initiative, our existing Conquest servers will be repurposed for isolated Classic PvP clusters. Increased rates on these Classic PvP servers will allow tribes to get established fast, and rebuild after potential losses in the event that everything is lost.

We are aware that over time content and creatures added to ARK have heavily changed the previous PvP meta, and there are many players who miss that experience. Some of the best battles came from those ea...

Off the top of my head, the only other thing I can think of is make sure video drivers are updated - or if they are already up to date, revert the video drivers to an earlier version, if it worked before. make sure to restart the PC, drivers often need it for full initialization.

I can make no promises that this will resolve the issue, but give this a try:
Go into steam, right click ark in your library, and select "properties"
Under the general tab select "Set Launch Options"
put -d3d11 in and try to launch.

Not so much for painting the vanilla structures. Painting works via color modification to the existing textures, so the rust would still be there; however, there are structure mods with very clean structures that allow painting. See Eco's Decor Mods and the Paintable Furniture Mod (it includes walls, though they are not metal iirc.

We're continuing on from our last video and putting the targeting list to work. We're going to actually implement it now to direct our sentry creatures to attack specific targets! We're starting to have made some solid headway into the actual core functionality now.

Curious, how is this any different than the old Paracer platform build that was explicitly ruled to be against CoC? Perhaps some clarification on "platform builds that block damage to tames." And yes, I read that it says prevent damage entirely, but let's be real here. These builds are, for practical purposes, preventing damage entirely. Turrets cannot shoot it, and even small alterations to the design can ensure that it doesn't matter what turret setup you have, you will never be damaged, and you will never be fully encase (as the CoC specifies.) Either blocking damage is allowed or it's not, but getting obscenely specific (as the CoC has) is basically saying, go ahead and build a box around your tame, just make sure there's at least one hole that it can be damaged through and you are good to go.

That is exactly what the rule is saying. The rule was to prevent people from making invincible platform dinos not specifically against turrets. The current rules also disallow sinking foundations on platforms.

It looks like there was an issue with cloud saves not getting wiped before the reset. Unfortunately, this meant that we had to wipe the servers to keep them clean but everything should be fresh now.

Comment

This has been resolved. The servers were wiped premature of the cloud which resulted in anything being able to be downloaded. We've done a full wipe of both the cloud and the server saves so everyone can start fresh.

Even better if you have extinction (the DLC), there is a crapton of those and better chances of finding a higher level.

Based on the numbers I'm looking at you're much more likely to find Spinos on Extinction > Rag > Island = Center

If you don't mind them being aberrant, Aberration is best.

The build can be shot from all angles but above. As such it is not against the Code of Conduct.

A lot of info will print in the command screen. On PC i hit tab to open just the single input bar, and tab again to make it cover half the screen so i can see more then one line.

This is correct. That command can send out a LOT of spam depending on what size of tribe it is used on so I set it to go to the console to avoid breaking the chat window. The downside is that I'm not sure that you can see that on Xbox/PS4.

I can't remember if it was genie or someone else but someone made a note about how it's unwise to stack the S+ mod and Homestead. Enter this in the game.ini to disable Homestead: AllowIntegratedSPlusStructures=false

That is correct, if you try to use both homestead and the S+ mod together you will get some undesired results and behavior.

You'll want to go into your launcher settings and make sure nothing is hidden.
Then go to the store tab and scroll all the way to the bottom:
