/u/WC_ChrisW please can you clarify. Are you bringing all the servers like mine (extinction 464) that has rolled back to a 2-day ago backup to a more recent backup?

Thanks

Yes.

If you join a server, does the issue happen there too?

Are you playing sp or mp?

Just a clarification if we will be able to get tek grams and imprints back.

Support restores imprints.

This is a side effect of not rolling the servers back to the same time. How you gonna roll back 1 server 1 hour, but another server 2 days, all in the same cluster. Anyone on ORP crossark6 that was not on the island Tuesday at around 5pm, but was on the server today when it went down lost their character.

We're bringing those servers back to the correct time.

We're working through them, apologies for the issue.

This is a side effect of dupe protection that's part of the rollback process. You have to work with support to restore anything that you lost. My apologies for the inconvenience.

You know how long I have spent trying to figure out the most basic type comparison in C++?

TOO LONG! IT LITERALLY CRASHED WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS COMMENT! ARGH.

You are very lucky that the Enforcement team is not working on bug fixes. It'd be like watching a rex trying to repair a thatch hut with his face... things would not go well.

We have actual developers that fix our bugs. :)

We're rolling back these changes and are going to punt on the vault changes as a whole for the time being. Sorry for the inconvenience folks.

We're rolling back.

Alright, I heard there were a few minor problems with it like the deathwalls in caves someone mentioned in a different thread.

But knowing it's coming is still really nice to know. If all goes well i know plenty of tribe-mates personally that would want to start playing again. Anyways, thanks for the quick replies.

If there's something wrong with deathwalls, it's unrelated to this. This is detection only.

Some interesting stuff here. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for clarifying. Is this going to be something we'll be able to have on console as well? Awesome update either way!

The plan is to refine a bit on pc because of rapid iteration and then deploy to console.

As Ancient said, the timestamped ones are backups of your current save (Ragnarok.ark). You can revert to the backup save at any point by renaming one of the timestamped files to just 'Ragnarok.ark[\b]. Make sure you keep the original Ragnarok.ark file though in case you need to go back to it if something is wrong with your backup save(s).

I've been hearing about this but i'm not quite understanding what it is. Does it actually alert a dev when someone enters the mesh? Or is it just extra information for a dev to review when following up on mesh tickets?

The former sounds exciting. The latter sounds great for pc still, but not really something that'll matter for console where meshing is the most rampant.

It allows us to catch and ban people who mesh whether they were reported or not.
