This is just me ensuring that we keep things upto date for when/if we do begin our Live Community Transmissions project. We haven't explicitly stated that we won't do them, just that there needs to be a clear reason to do them (and not just for the sake of doing it)

Appreciate the patience, and that vigilance on catching the update too :)

Aware of it, it'll be fiiine. (Will fix it for any future sharing)

Any chance Jetpack Cargo makes an appearance again?

At this time, no. It requires a client update and isn’t a regular event. Maybe in the future!

huh, ok not trying to be a jerk just legitimatley curious why does offline content take more time? and thanks for the response:)

Programming AI to be able to interact with complex objectives (especially ones that require interacting or using something like a ion launcher) takes a ton of time to get right and balance. Standing in an area and shooting things isn’t the worst, but GA and objective 2/3 for CS are trickier. Not impossible, but tricky. Most games either just have AI fight or do very simple objectives (such as campaigns for shooters or the original objectives from BII 2005 as examples).

Hard to say. It really throws off balancing in GA. TBD how it’ll affect CS.

ok i think at this point its pretty widely accepted that whatever you guys do is going to take a lot longer than what the community expects( based at least for me by playing other games). does the slow development have to do with the frostbite engine being a hell hole to work with or is it a lack of manpower? or perhaps both?

p.s. i know you guys are doing all you can, and thanks for not abandoning the game, i feel like if the community knew why things were so slow that they'd maybe be a little more understanding

Neither, really. Most games simply don’t add additional PvE content. Star Wars gamers want that more than Battlefield, CoD, Halo, etc. fans because they’re often Star Wars fans first and shooter fans second. Because of that, offline content is really appealing for some epic, casual fun (not to mention those who have unreliable internet, but that’s a separate issue). PvE content just takes longer to make, though.

Edit: Edited to make more sense.

Slanted lens flares instead of actual sabers?

I don't remember that in Rogue One.

Probably because a lightsaber was only used once. I’d check out the Vader scene on YouTube to see it clearly.

u/ea_charlemagne sorry again ,i know this is minor but you guys did a good job on it before the anakin update . I remember that kylos and mauls ignition was good. Like maul where the blades ignited seperatly for instance

Already flagged. Thanks!

Love the variety of opportunities for leveling up this month. Any idea when we might see another heroes unleashed event now that Anakin is out?

Once he’s balanced and we’ve resolved a minor backend issue, absolutely. HU was actually pulled from this month for those reasons.

Damn double experience for two weekends in a row? Hell yeah!

It was originally going to be a Vehicle weekend but with community feedback + the issues last weekend we changed it.

Please note that this weekend's event has been extended by a day due to the late start.

Question. Do you need a video of this happening on Xbox also? If so I can try and get a video for you also.

Nope. All good on Xbox. This is just the first I'm hearing of it on PlayStation that isn't related to controller defects.

Nice. I had a hunch that was the goal, because I remembered one of the developers telling the community that their intention with the original blaster bolts was to match the VFX in Rogue One.

It makes sense, considering it has a heavy military vibe.

If you look up original videos of BII lightsabers, they were very similar to Vader's in the iconic RO scene.

6k and 8k heroes. I've posted it a bit before and its extremely rare. Just wondering if you've seen it before.

I've never heard of that, but if you made a bug report the team should be aware. If not, I suggest posting on on the forum or help.ea.com.

Can you get us a video of it happening on PS4? That could be really helpful.

Fair enough. Thanks for the reply. I know you were not around in 2015 Battlefront, but instant action was requested back then and even when BF2 was announced Dice said an improved Skirmish was coming. Have a great weekend. I just wanna play with my kids in a non competitive environment and have fun with more than 10 AI to go against.

I totally get it. We want that too, but if we do it, we want to do it right.
