For now this is how it works; no matter where your gun is aiming (both driver and gunner) you always hop out from the left of the vehicle. The only thing that changes is where you're looking when you get out. So as an example, if you aim your gun to the right, you'll still exit from the left but you'd be looking towards the right. If you aim your gun at the rear, you'll exit from the left while looking at the rear. video example of the T28

Yeah I'm pretty sure I fixed this already, but I'll take another look just to be sure.

Since we're on the topic of entering/exiting vehicles, I feel there is a pretty important mechanic missing when it comes to exiting vehicles, i.e. exiting in the direction you're looking at.

If you pointed your gun/camera at the back of the vehicle, you'd exit from the back; if you pointed it towards the left, you'd exit from the left, and so on. It was actually extremely useful in BF2/3/4 as you could control which direction you exit from, and that helped when quickly getting out of vehicles to repair, etc.. This feature was lost due to the addition of enter/exit animations but since they don't exist in 2042, I think this is something that should be brought back!

We do check the aim but have a limited amount of exit points. If you aim towards the right, you should exit on that side too. We did some fixes to this the last months, so if that doesn't work as it should, consider it fixed for an upcoming patch.

The solution being so obvious it hurts: Delay the time you can control by the same time of the entry animation...

We had it working like that before, but it turned out to be annoying when entering gunner seats. Changing it to make it more responsive seemingly introduced this issue. We'll follow up on it!

Hi @moonraker575,

that is correct. The Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition includes both the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X version of Battlefield 2042.

So if you use the same account on a new Xbox Series S, you don't have to pay again and can just continue playing, even with your same progress from the Xbox One that is being taken over.

The lead game designer is saying that as well, so this probably won't get fixed until he leaves his fantasy land.

Spread in BFBC2 was quite different but we are also investigating a potential bug on Portal weapons when firing right after sprinting or running which could be the cause of what people are complaining about.

Yes, this is a known issue - restart your game and it will update accordingly. We're working to get this fixed in an upcoming update :)

Quite recently (as in very recently!) :) I do appreciate that there are things that are not great but please do not target people personally, making games like this takes A LOT of time and people, things rarely come from a single person but know that all of the feedback is always ending up to the right people even if not everyone replies.

To make sure, the feedback is acknowledged, I am just not in a position to give you more details at this point but know that we all care and are very passionate about the game. When things aren't right and there are issues we haven't been able to catch, all we want is to make things better the earliest possible.

I had no doubt. But is it possible to allow medics to inform players on the ground that we are coming to res them. Like pressing Q on a downed friendly giving them a dialogue of something like "I got you!".

Yes we are looking at adding this back as well.

Thanks for getting this out there! Hopefully it helps you guys out and gets DICE's eyes on it!

Thanks for sharing, we're taking a look at this now.

Can i ask you if the nonexistent aim assist on console that you said was being adjusted is actually going to be adjusted and fixed by next Friday? Because it feels worse than it did in the beta on PS5 right now. I love this franchise, but BF 2042 feels extremely sterile and is severely lacking all the magic of the previous entries. No destruction, no voice chat, barely any weapons, and obviously no classes.

I'm happy to see devs interacting with the community, but it usually only lasts in the run up to release, and DICE destroyed all trust with all the broken promises during BF V's life cycle. You said you were renaging on those promises to work on a this game, and deliver a "bigger better battlefield game" at the time, but my previous points show that was a lie. Three separate development studios worked on 2042. Lol. Your attitude does nothing to regain that trust. This game is last chance saloon for you, make no mistake.

That tweet doesn't even begin to acknowl...

I understand, I just do shaders and do some optimizations, though I don't have the info you seek. I'll relay this to the people in charge of this. Also be aware that most regular devs are still under NDA so there's a limit to how much we can talk about outside of things that are announced through the official channels. Though be aware there are a lot of eyes focused on this part of the internet.
