That sounds like your city is hitting the vehicle limit. You can check that with a mod like CSL Show More Limits.

To deal with that you will need to provide more public transport, so your citizens aren't driving everywhere. The more mass transit, t... Read more

If you can post your output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux), I'd be happy to take a look at your mods and give some guesses to which ones might be affecting things.

Here's where to find the log depending on your operating system. To easily find the local files for the game, right click your game in the Steam library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and select Browse local files.

I noticed one old mod, that you will want to unsubscribe and get a newer version of:
- Advanced Toolbar - I recommend More Advanced Toolbar or Resize It instead

I also recommend you try and get rid of the need for [ Backward Compatibility ] New Roads For Network Extension 2. The mod is not maintained consistantly, and if it breaks at some point and doesn't get updated, your city will not be able to load. It's better to use roads from the Roads category instead of this mod. Network Extensions 2 also offer some of these roads.

As for the error, let's try and clear all citizens and vehicles. That should reset all paths and hopefully solve it. To do that go into Options before loading your city. Then find the Loading Screen Mod on the left, and under options for it find the Safe Mode options. Enable both options to clear citizens and vehicles. Then load your city.

If that does the trick, make sure to turn those options off again. If not, upload the log... Read more

You will probably have better luck getting an answer on the official forums, which has a part dedicated to the console edition. I'm not sure we have many console players on here.

Maybe I've gone too far on the assets/mods because it just slows to a crawl when I try to add them into themes. Is there a suggested max on assets?

Doing it the way you do would certainly limit the numbers some.

Mostly I'm trying to get an early 20th century look to my cities. There's a lot of those buildings available, but I'm thinking many of them are just ploppable and I prefer them to grow.

You are using Building Themes right? As in the menu that you work with while in your city, and not the Styles which are created through the Content Manager before loading a city.

Then that likely just means roads are clogged and delaying fuel for sure. I try to place my ore/oil plants at the highway entrances so they get supplied first thing. Having them inside your city too far can have issues.

I'm not sure if it was always that way or not, as I only looked into it after Industries came out. My guess would be it was always the processed stuff, which was it's own thing. That would explain some issues I had with fuel in the past at well.

But I straight up just had two different storages with the different options and watched to see what fueled t... Read more

You have the old broken Traffic Manager: President Edition by LinuxFan. Go into the Content Manager, then find it under Mods and unsubscribe from it.

Then get the newer version and make sure to enable it:

Is the game in English? Or some other language?

If you don't have the option for Chinese, try verifying the game files.

This usually happens with a broken road anarchy mod. Make sure you do NOT have any of these:

- Fine Road Anarchy (the original, version 2 is fine)
- Fine Road Tool (the original, version 2 is fine)
- Road Anarchy
- Road Anarchy 2
- Advanced Road Anarchy
- Sharp Junction Angles
- Low Bridges High Dams
- Bridge Fix

I'm gonna put my money on the fact that the boiler works just like the oil power plant and doesn't actually use raw oil. So all the oil you have stored isn't what it needs. It needs the processed version that usually comes out of a good old zoned oil specialisation.

Plop a warehouse and set it to "Zoned Industry - Oil Products" and leave it at balanced. Once it fills up a bit it should start delivering to your boiler and solve your problem. :)

Have you checked you don't accidentally have a filter on the menu that is hiding them?

If not, add the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods to Steam, then start a new city and see if it's there. It will be locked ofc, but it should be there. If not, try verifying game files through Steam.

To set launch options:
- Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
- Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
- Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be... Read more

Yeah, YouTubers cheat. They slow the game WAAAAY down, then speed up the recording. It looks like normal smooth gameplay, but that's not how the game actually runs for them as they play. ;)

29 minutes sounds like you have a LOT of workshop content. You might want to reduce that some. Use collections to keep track of things you might want to use in the future, but aren't needing right now in your current city.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=449998850&searchtext=addiction

With 32 GB RAM you are expected to be able to have 2-3000 workshop assets. Reduce that by about 400 for each major DLC you have. Any more than that and you rely on the pagefile, which significa... Read more

This guide takes you through the steps of starting a city. You can follow it completely or build your own a bit. And as it's written, you can take all the time you need on each step and easily look back if something goes wrong.

Sorting them into folder on the hard drive wouldn't affect anything in game. Building Themes is the fastest way to sort buildings into themes. You can also create the .xml file for Building Themes manually, but you need the names of the buildings and it's honestly just faster to use the ingame menu for the mod.

Hi there. I will need your output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux) to be able to help. It should be from after trying to load a save that never loads, so I can see what happens.

Have you tried logging out of Steam, shutting Steam down completely, then starting it and logging back in? That usually does the trick. Other times restarting the PC or changing download region on Steam works.

You can change the language in "Options". From the main menu go into "Options", then select "Gameplay" and open the drop-down menu to change the language.
