Another problem is what is happening after the match. I can only play like 3 matches against the same opponent. And the decision to leave is made outside of the map in a menu, enough time to think about not wanting a rematch. Compared to QL i seldomly getting a rematch. Also in QL i can just play my opponent as many times as i like. Also in QL i can see which people are on servers and playing. In DBT i wait for some magic to happen and i can’t estimate the likelihood of getting a game.

In Diabotical in the Play menu you can click on the Create Lobby button, set the visibility to public, set game mode to Duel Classic, select Duration: 10 minutes, start the game and wait for a player to join through the match list (this doesn't use or affect skill ratings).

  • In the Watch menu the Client-side replays section now lists the most recent replays at the top.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented exiting from a client-side replay being watched once the end was reached.

they're still combined on the leaderboards it seems

They are not combined, the starting Wipeout skill ratings are the Aim Arena 2v2 skill ratings as they were affected by Wipeout matches before today.

So to be clear server-side replays are only available with custom lobby?

Only available for the host of a custom lobby who turns the server-side replay recording setting on. That option is only available for owners of the current season's battlepass.

Edit: the option for other participants to download the replay will be available soon

Replays

  • Client-side replays can now be recorded automatically by enabling the Client-side replays setting in Settings-More settings. The size of future client side replays will be reduced in an upcoming patch.
  • Current season battle pass owners are now able to record server side replays when hosting a custom lobby with the Record Server-side Replay setting turned on (Update: we will add the option for all battlepass-owning participants to download the replays, not just hosts, shortly). Server-side replays contain all player perspectives instead of just one. They are possible to download through the match page in the match history. As they involve being hosted on the servers they are only available for current season battle pass owners and only available for download for 14 days after the match. After being downloaded they remain accessible if they are in your replays folder. Server-side replays are currently in a testing stage as we fix possible issues and ...

Once someone abandons the match everyone is free to leave without a penalty.

Leaving the match will start a 2 minute timer until that person is declared to have abandoned the match, to allow that person to rejoin if there was game crash/computer crash/internet issue (the option to rejoin or abandon the match appears for that player).

After 1 minute there is a warning and after 2 minutes/when a person has abandoned the match there is a message in the chat which says that it's safe to leave.

  • Ongoing Pickup matches are displayed at the bottom of the match list. They are not possible to join but can indicate if there are players playing a certain mode at the moment who may join your pickup or create a new one when their match ends.
  • Pickup listings now more clearly indicate if players are part of a party.
