Last year we let you know about an upcoming change to the way region transfers will work in the game: During the beta, we got quite a few questions about the future of world and region transfers with the removal of home worlds. We wanted to let you know that region transfer functionality will still be available via an updated character selection interface. In addition, we will be setting the gem cost to transfer regions to a flat 500 gems, as we no longer need to have variable costs based on world populations. We'll be implementing this change today. Once the update is live, Region Select (NA or EU) will replace World Select, and the gem cost for region transfers will be set to 500 gems. This feature only allows transfers between the America and Europe regions. It does not allow changes to World Restructuring teams in either region.

Hi, everyone, Welcome to the preview for the February 11 balance update! As always, the goal of previewing these changes is to gather your feedback before the live release. We'll be following the conversation and making further adjustments as needed. Thanks, Taylor "Trig" Brooks Competitive Designer General One of the main initiatives in this update is to reduce the overall strength of survivability via support (aka Sustain) that we're currently seeing in the WvW gameplay meta. While we are happy to see melee damage builds have viability in a large-scale game environment, it is clear to us that the support options that enable this are too powerful. We will be making a functional change to barrier, culling alacrity access, and starting to tone down boon applications in WvW. Reduced the barrier cap from 50% of maximum health to 25% of maximum health in WvW only. Relic of the Flock: Increased the cooldown from 10 seconds to 20 seconds in WvW only... Read more

We have temporarily disabled garden plot nodes in player homesteads and home instances while we address an issue. We will re-enable them as soon as possible. Harvesting collection boxes in player homesteads are not affected by this, and items from garden plots can still be collected from them as usual.

As you're aware, we adjusted team creation dates for December 2024 and January 2025 to avoid holidays. We're making an update to how team creation dates are scheduled in 2025 to avoid running into that issue as much as possible and help players plan further in advance. Team creation dates will fall on the first Friday of every month for 2025. The full schedule is below: February 7 March 7 April 4 May 2 June 6 July 4 August 1 September 5 October 3 November 7 December 5 You can set your WvW guild during team creation by following the guide on our support site.

Bug Fixes: Fixed a texture error on the medium human female Vagabond's Hood and Vagabond's Shoulders skins. Fixed a server crash. Fixed an issue that allowed the Bloodstone Boogie emote's sound to overlap.

(Also, not sure if this was you or a different person on the team, but the hair having two dye channels is fantastic - especially useful for my Sylvari, for the base color to be closer to his skin color and the accent to be another color. The gradient on the wig is really nice!)

I'd love to see this wig converted into a proper hair for all genders at some point, though that may be a pipe dream. One day my Sylvari will have lovely, flowing locks... but 'til then, thank you again for the hood :)

The two dye channels was indeed me. It was a choice partially driven by wanting to allow for that very thing for sylvari!
