When I heard we were going to do a new Yordle I immediately messaged my lead to help make sure I was slated to be the animator on it.
How about Nocturne's tail?
His tail is full VFX and no animation bones exist for me to alter.
The poor little nightmare needs a visual update really.

Out of curiosity, do you think it would work on Janna? On the floaty cloth of her outfit? (sorry, I'm not sure how to call it)
I tried it on janna. It only works on her two back cloth and does kill the motion. The main issue is that her cloth clips her feet very noticeably when she turns.
Her cloth also has a really small amount of animation bones and on base is superrrr low poly so it's not as clean as Twitch's tail.
I'd really like to give her a bit of help especially since she is one of the most asked about characters since I posted these tweets, but right now I do not have the time to address this.
Because another item may be a higher effective value for the game. Eg. If they have a lot of shielders, then serpents fang may give more damage. Or if you are already over killing but just need to Snowball the map fast then umbral or youmuus would be better. Or if you need to avoid opening cc then edge of night may be better.
Just because an item has the highest raw damage for the situation doesn't mean it's the best item to buy.
Just to clarify a little further, if you don't mind me asking, does that mean that there is going to be a larger than usual gap between the release of Mundo's VGU and the new Marksman's release?

In the last roadmap, they said they were delaying the gloomy yordle to develop some new tech to make her source of power more clear.
Wonder if this is related.
Hi! I am the animator who did the updates you see here and, coincidentally, the animator working on said gloomy yordle as well.
The two are unrelated.
This tech was developed for Aurelion Sol and is simply applied to champions who it could easily be pasted on to.
hopefully this isn't the complete list as there are a couple of champs that are in dire need of this (Vayne's weird tail that sticks straight out on all her skins is a big offender)

If/when we get the tech improved to not stomp any Y rotations applying it to cape champions such as Darius, Vayne, and Ashe will be a priority for me.
So just for full clarity, should we expect the mid lane marksman when we expected the Yordle and the Yordle when we expected the marksman, or is the timing of the marksman the same and the Yordle is now after that?
The Marksmen timing has not changed. They are different production teams working on both of those champions, so one being delayed doesnt effect the other
So he doesn't literally mean all at the same exact time. The next 3 Champions releases, Mundo, the Midlane Marksmen, and the Mage where all written by John, so I believe he just means that starting with Mundo you are going to get a lot of Champs written by him.

But have drops been disabled for basically the whole Spring Split? To work out kinks?
It is kind of nice to have no drops to worry about, I dont have to login and can watch from any media source. But I was definitely logging in for the first 3/4 of the split and getting nothing.
Thanks! Yeah, Drops were running for LCS, LEC, LCL, TCL, LLA, and EU Masters. All of them had different programs, and some were more generous than others. LCS only did a couple drops in North America, which could explain a lot of that.
So the Order of the Releases are : Mundo Vgu, Midlane Marksmen , Yordle Mage , Botlane Marksmen ?
It can always change of course, but yes, that is the current planned order
u/Reav3 not sure if you’re still checking this thread but if the Yordle has been delayed what does that mean for the next event and specifically Sylas prestige (and the rest of the skinline) assuming he is/was supposed to be in the next event with the Yordle? Is that delayed too?
No events have been delayed as a result of the Yordle moving back

It was referring to all champions releasing as part of the Ruined King Returns Story, since it's a story revolving around the Shadow Isles all the champs are at least a bit dark and edgy. I was also kind of memeing on myself, since so many players say all we make is either cute or dark/edgy champs

I mean the Worlds drops were a joke and so were the LEC 2021 Spring Split ones, however the EU Masters drops have been good so far not only in what you get but also the timing of said drops so I personally would like to see more of that.

So yordle mage isn't support right? If she isn't, is there a possibility that she can be played support like the way Lux does?
We arnt currently planning for that champ to be duo lane Support/Mid as we just made a champion like that in Seraphine. This one is meant to be purely a mid lane mage, though im sure people will try it, and it may be good?
Not the person you're responding to but past seasons often had teams with cool logos/icons, where maybe the player doesn't know the team but likes how it looks. At least I know a few people who were excited for their legacy icon drops for that reason
