I find myself never wanting to buy hex unless I absolutely have to. PD is just so much better most of the time

PD also contributes to your scalings in such a way that it's honestly never a bad idea to consider building it if you're a crit ADC. The only "con" of PD is that you don't get the shield 'til it's complete, which is a significant gold investment and usually built 3rd.

I have to give you the respect of actually replying and making sense, I might have overexaggerated on an impulse, but it can still be frustrating how many things are left unadressed by riot, whether that be on reddit or elsewhere (I say that as a very long time player that loves the game but is aware of the flaws)

I can understand the frustration, believe me. This is, again, why Reddit is not a great medium for announcing what Riot is doing... Rioters reply on Reddit a lot, but it gets buried in the comments and people who don't see those comments feel like we don't respond at all.

It makes more sense to have more formal dev blogs/riot pls articles to announce the direction we are taking, but those take time to create. I also think Meddlers gameplay thoughts are a great example of proactive communication to get ahead of the curve, or at least stay level, with the current community feeling on certain topics, although they aren't suitable for all topics

But even your message shows the issues

These teams shouldn’t be small and everyone would prefer the game improve over people saying they have a “small team working on it”

If Riot see this type of post, and the multitude of others addressing the legitimate issues and Rioters want the game to improve: Why hasn’t it?

This isn’t a new problem and I’m not talking about this video, the client has been horrific for years, the business tactics have been scummy for years, etc and etc

I’m sure you care and I’m sure others care. But it is clear as day that some/the one in charge don’t give a f**k about me or the other players.

I just wish Rioters would stop putting on a face like those people give a shit. If people gave a shit about anything besides money at the top of Riot the game wouldn’t look like it does right now.

Riot as a company makes enough money to put that money where there mouth is and no...

I think I may not have been clear, so on this, specifically: It's not that the team that "works on League" is small, it's that the overlap of "person that works on League" and "person who has the energy to engage with players on Reddit" is not necessarily very big.

If Riot see this type of post, and the multitude of others addressing the legitimate issues and Rioters want the game to improve: Why hasn’t it?

Because this kind of work is an experiment. We are experimenting on ways to solve the issues brought up in this issue, but sometimes that experiment is not always successful. This gives the impression that things aren't improving, but things not improving is not the same as "not trying".

I just wish Rioters would stop putting on a face like those peo...

So either he's a rioter without a flair or you're not a rioter anymore?

I'm not sure what the story is on Shakarez's flair, but we do indeed work together. Unless I got fired this morning without being informed...

Presumably /u/Kayle_Bot has the flair he has instead of the riot flair because he prefers it, but it's not a secret he works for Riot as he works on the LEC.

Just curious, is there a reason you use slack rather than discord?

I didn't make the business decision, but my PoV on it is that Slack predates Discord by quite a bit and offers more control to the corporations that have the enterprise license than Discord does.

I use Discord for private communications outside of work (private in this sense meaning "not related to Riot"), but any work communications go through Slack due to lack of guarantees on Discords behalf on what it does with your messages etc

Can there actually be a link to this in the client next time? Me and the boys saw it only said ranked was disabled for maintenance so we queued for a norm and got booted.

I believe there's currently some work being done to add better messaging to the client itself to make this more visible. We posted this to twitter, the eng blog and the status page to try and bring better visibility as we know the last maintenance came as an unwelcome surprise and that's not the experience we want.

server maintenance but hehe not for EU btw, just OCE and NA

Correct, this maintenance is specifically targeting a datacenter housing infrastructure for both NA and OCE.

I was master tier at the end of last season, but I didn't finish in that rank. :) Too bad the tier graph doesn't show it.

Either way, OP talks about spelling mistakes being an indicator of bad ranks, and Diamond isn't bad either

I was master tier last season and I make typos all the time in casual conversation. There's no "secret sauce" to being good at the game. :P

If anything, the number of typos you make is more indicative of how well versed you are in English if it's not your first language.

This feels like a copy-pasta. IQ is a great measurement for spatial reasoning, but there's no proof that being good at League correlates with high IQ.
