Thank you :)

Yup. I fought really hard to make this a thing when I was promoted in 2018, and fortunately it worked and I was able to expand. It's super important to recognize that so many people come together to make this work. The entire broadcast team has to step up to welcome guests that don't know our show, our systems, our staff and in some cases, they don't know our League. It's been a really fun challenge that fortunately a lot of fans have appreciated.

My questions are for all the casters.

  • Certain casters definitely seem to be benched on the desk more often than others, especially for international events. Is this down to people's preference, a group decision, a decision from higher-ups, or a mixture?

  • What are some less obvious preferences that you might have between casting vs post game analysis?

  • I imagine it will be covered on the broadcast but who's your contender for EU's 3rd worlds spot? (assuming Fnatic and G2 are the favourites for the top two seeds)

  • Can we stop bullying Quickshot? :(

  • Finally, when is the LEC crew dropping their debut album?

hehe - My team love me, they just show their affection by calling me old. Everytime you hear them say that, it actually means I LOVE YOU TREVOR. I promise.

When are the tickets for your World Tour gonna be available? Can't wait to see you rap!

Gimme like two years, you'll know I popped off when I get the Tyler, the Creator feature. Alternatively if I vanish completely it's because I'm ghost writing for Drake.

Over the past year we saw a lot of guest analyst, hosts and casters. These always seem to come in the middle of the split. Personally I iove you all but the fresh opinions and styles are a joy to listen to and those guest weeks were my favorite weeks of the splits. Are the current plans to keep guests in the same timeframe? Or can we expect them to be more spread out a bit more?

Thank you all for the amazing year, it was great to see eu step up so massively this year!

/u/RiotQuickshot

In terms of time frames, those are likely to change, but in terms of bringing guests in from other games or Leagues, that is 100% coming back in 2020. I fought really hard in 2018 to get a few guests on the show, then it worked and I got budget approved for the 2019 season and our guests worked out. The LEC really likes this element of our show and we want to bring it back next season, HOPEFULLY improving upon what we have learned this year.

-Is there going to be a rap battle for worlds?

No rap battle for worlds this time, definitely want to see if Flowers wants to tag team an anthem for the west at some point in the future though.

-Do you think there is a realistic chance for the 3rd seeds to be stuck in play-ins? (looking at NAs 3rd seed situation)

I think for the most part it's still highly unlikely that any of the 3rd seeds get dropped in play-ins. Most of the smaller regions are getting stronger but not to the point where I think teams need to be scared of getting put in 3rd seed. Would really love to see a major region knocked out though, as long as its not EU. :p

-Do you enjoy your life in EU considering you are originally from NA. What are the major differences?

My life in EU is much more comfortable than my life in NA was. There were a few big changes for me. The first is living in a city wi...

Are the rumors true that you don't make your own stats? :'(

Sadly.. there is an element of truth to this. I do not make the in depth stats on Quickstats Segments. The true brains there is /u/Barshnip

One thing though, I do have a pretty good head for all time records, longest games, shortest, quickest barons, record streaks etc. I very often ping stats team in game to verify numbers and I'm quite proud of my ability to 'feel' the magic stat :P Often times I am also right. I'm sure Connie can confirm that for me ;) RIGHT CONNIE?

Was there ever a moment in your career that you thought ‘Damn, I’ve made it!’. If so, was there any one event that sparked this feeling or was it a gradual build up? P.s. LEC has been amazing to watch this year so thank you!

Gamescom 2014, August 14th. I remember it vividly because it's my birthday, I had been casting League for Riot for over a year and a half and I was preparing for a showday, stood backstage and just had this epiphany... holy sh*t, I'm here, all the way from South Africa, my job is to actually cast League at Gamescom. I just started crying to myself out of surreal joy. I think that was when it really cemented in my mind that I made it.

For Quickshot: What is the actual job of an on-air talent manager? What tasks do you take on?

For Ender: I find your fashion style quite different from that of the others and I like it. Did you come up with that yourself or was it suggested by someone else?

For Drakos / Medic / Quickshot: How can you train to get the words out quickly without stumbling and still sound natural and easy to listen to?

For Laure: Being an interviewer, I assume you talk to players a lot off camera - how hard or easy was it to develop a relationship to everyone so that they and you feel comfortable during interviews on camera?

As part of my responsibilities I am directly responsible for the on-air talent team. Hiring, performance management, development of craft, expense approvals (Boo), budgetting etc. Think of it as any people manager position, but in addition to being a caster on the broadcast. It's a lot of work and I have a lot to learn, but I'm really thankful that I have such an amazing team to work with and that the LEC entrusted me with this ability to grow myself, and the team I work with.

This is for Quickshot: hadn't you pursued a career in casting, what would you be doing today? Dream job? ps. you are awesome and the pillar of Lec. Thank you.

For Vedius: you are a proud representative of Wales, what places are simply unmissable when visiting your country? ps. I love how you embraced your casting style and personality. Never change man!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'll do my best to live up to them.

In terms of what I would be doing, something in sales or marketing. I have a Bcom in Marketing and Business management and used a lot of the principles I learned to help elevate who qu1ksh0t was when I started casting. I've always enjoyed talking to people, using my voice and telling stories, its my biggest strength.

/u/eutriaged How would you describe your job in a sentence with less than 10 words and whats the most fun about it?

/u/Barshnip What's the most interesting stat that you want the casters to talk about, but they actually haven't?

/u/havocrumpet my guess would be, that you create/organize hype videos for lec and all these things, that are played during the broadcast, if yes: who is your favorite pro to work with? If no ... what do you actually do?

/u/RiotQuickshot Do you miss Deficio, or have you gotten over him?

/u/RiotDrakos How do you come up with all those rap-lines for the rap-battles we have seen so far?

/u/Mediccasts Is there anyone at riot, that benches more than you? also ... did you try arm wrestling hyllis...

I produce videos such as the playoffs teaser that was just released. I also produce: Between 2 Iverns, Training Grounds and EU Rising and interview the players for our content after the games. All the pros are pretty amazing to work with especially since quite a few can be shy and and most are not native English speakers, with this in mind its always incredible to see how much effort they put into the interviews and helping us make content. A few special mentions:

  • Bwipo: I once wanted to see how long he would talk if I just asked him an open ended question and didn't stop or interrupt him.. he spoke for 40 minutes non stop and every second was interesting.

  • Caps: He used to not be that strong in interviews but has since become one of the best and always comes up with amazing 1 liners for us to use.

  • Maxlore: Generally incredibly witty and fun to talk to, often has a lot of insight.

  • Jizuke: Always really funny and has th...

You mentioned how people keep hating you for one thing, even if you haven't done it in a very long time (e.g. legacy) or only remembering you for specific things that don't have anything to do with your actual casting (Enders clothes, Flexius,...). You also told a story how people like Deficio or Papa are liked so much now, that no matter what they do, people perceive it as great, even if they themselves find it rather cringeworthy afterwards.

My question is: If you could choose how the crowd perceives you, what exactly they notice about you, what would it be? Obviously it should be casting-related, but you have to take into consideration that the people as laymen just...

I would like people to think I have a really good sense for the game. Coming from relatively high elo/the playtest team, I understand a lot about matchups, macro, and can really understand how pros think about the game. I'm also super energetic in casts and try to help my cocasters build the hype for some truly epic moments.
