When you run enough trials, you're going to get a few fun-looking outliers.

For the record, we consider it important and positive that weird situations can happen. Predictability is a major concern, so even if we know a color is strong and can support a lot of drafters, we don't hard-code a fixed number of them into every table. We just arrange the numbers so that they usually end up there - but it's not for sure, and it's up to the player to figure out what their specific table is up to.

Anyway, don't worry, the bots like black just fine. :)

This isn't *universally* true - there are situations in which the automated drafters will take cards outside their colors. But that can easily not come up by pick 4 in a pack.

In general, though, you are correct to point out that a multicolor card is less likely to fit any given drafter's colors and therefore more likely to be passed (whether they're automated or human).

I think having a short time for the draft is bad without having more information available right away. People like participating in events and hate feeling forced into it. I hate feeling rushed to get all the drafting I need in to get the cards I want for decks. Two weeks is not enough time, and it seems like a money grab to get more people paying the gem entry fee.

That is a very valid concern, and I’ll pass it along to the right people.

They are probably substituting it with something else, but I can't imagine what could be a replacement that isn't inferior. Only if it was pod drafts, which sounds impossible this early.

Top 1,200 Mythic Ranked players in Constructed or Limited at the end of this season will be eligible to compete in the Ikoria Mythic Qualifier #2 on March 14, 2020.

While Pioneer would be awesome, it can't possibly happen anytime soon. Even if they only code the relevant cards without new animations etc., they are just too many. Remember, every other week a new forgotten card rises from unplayability to a tier 1 deck. Who would have thought Inverter of Truth would be part of a tier 1 deck a month ago?
It’s ok that it would take a while. No one is upset about that. It would be nice however to have that actually be a goal. We don’t even know if the mixture of sets they are putting together are Pioneer legal. We could have Kamigawa mixed with Farexia mixed with Ahmonket. We have no idea what’s going on or where we are headed. I honestly wonder why they are forbidden to work towards Pioneer.

Exactly this. As kind as Lexie is when she has an appearance, the big rants and complaints of the community have never been adressed here.

To a certain degree I understand this - going into detail with this community would be like opening pandora's box for them :P.

My opened pack wheeled with not a single black card taken by the bots, the other non-black cards were not even all that good. In subsequent packs I have also been passed numerous black cards, too bad I was not in that color. What a weird draft.
