Status Effects now behave like proper gameplay stuns, which means that scripted stuns now follow the same rules (i.e. cannot be stunned or frozen in spawn room). Does this have wider reaching ramifications for your script, or is this something you can work around?

Can you upload a workshop code/code snippet of frozen and stunned not working? Just want to make sure there’s not something else going on!

We found an issue where sometimes hero settings aren’t getting applied properly. We’re looking into it!

We’ve confirmed that those 4 actions (Set/Modify Global/Player Variable at Index) report the wrong value to the Inspector, though with what I’ve seen so far, the actual variable has the correct value. More testing is needed, so stay tuned. In the meantime, see if you can make functioning logic using those actions and checking for values at a particular index (ignoring the Inspector for now). Thanks for the report!

I have a feeling this will go live for season 21 as they intend, but by having on the PTR we’ll be able to give initial feedback which will help them make better decisions on when to rotate heroes to make season 21 more consistent.

And I can safely say unlike my role queue fiasco last August, that PTR Competitive is not connected to your actual live hidden MMR. But please try not to throw too much though…

Hey everyone, Zach and I have been hard at work on several new Workshop features for 1.45. Our focus for this patch has been quality-of-life features for creators as well as performance improvements. Many of these changes are based on user feedback, so keep those suggestions coming!

These Workshop changes are active right now on the 1.45 Public Test Realm (PTR). Because of several optimizations to the core Workshop execution engine, we’re particularly interested in cases where existing Workshop creations work differently (or not at all) in 1.45. For that reason, we encourage creators and players of Workshop modes to test as many existing game modes as possible on the PTR . Existing Workshop codes were copied from the live game to PTR this morning. Please let us know if there is anything we need to fix! The sooner you let us know, the more likely that we’ll be able to fix any bugs before 1.45 is released.

It’s both. For PvE we add a full story arc told through story missions (even though it’s a linear story I am reluctant to all it a campaign because it’s co-op, not single player). We’ll also have Hero Missions (which are highly replayable PvE backed by a progression system). The closest analogy (although neither is quite accurate) is Adventure mode in Diablo III or World Quests in WoW (again, not a great analogy but indicative of the level of replay we’re hoping for).

Hey there, the bug was not an off by one. The issue was introduced while making optimizations for lower spec hardware. In some cases sound occlusion wasn’t recalculated when it needed to be.

it seems like tracer plays a grunt that blocks the ult voiceline in the live version whereas the replay doesn't have the grunt for some reason.

Hey there if you can send me a private message with your name as it shows up in game I can look into this.

For Nintendo Switch we matchmake players to where you get the best ping. It’s possible in your area or due to the times you play the best games are in the Korean data center.
