The issue is 4/5ths of the playable maps are static. It gets incredibly boring having the same maps over and over and over for literally years at this point and when you have only 1 changing one and that map could be one of 4 maps, it means if players like a particular non static map they barely get to play it.

Also what happens when kiki gets added? Will that become a static map? Will there be another possible map added to the pool so there are 6? Will it be part of the rotating maps now adding 5 into the rotating maps further reducing the time players can actually play maps they enjoy?

If we are having static maps, 4/5ths of the possible maps shouldn't be static.

I feel you. Thanks for sharing your feedback. Will make sure these concerns are seen. I have no info on future map service plans as of now. If there are any changes coming, they will be shared through our official channels.

Hey! Hoping this will help understand it better: There are 4 static maps and 4 rotating maps.

Erangel, Miramar, Taego and Sanhok are static maps - based on the highest popularity across the globe.

Vikendi, Haven, Paramo and Karakin are the rotating maps.

Initially we had the rotating maps stay for the duration of the whole season (2 months) and due to player sentiment saying that this was too long, the change was made to rotate the maps with every monthly update, which is happening now. We are continuing to monitor sentiment on all of this and will be making changes if / where needed.

I had several game crashes after this update, I haven't looked at it much, like when the first zone pops boom, crashed. Might be a corrupted file from the update.

Yeah, I do not know why exactly, but sometimes, for some players this can happen during update downloads and installs. Some game files may go corrupt and could cause instability. Verifying the game files is always a good first step in resolving issues after an update has been installed.

Clearing the steam download cache and switching the steam download server location / region may help as well sometimes if issues persist.

Else, if you continue to experience issues, take a look at the latest information / troubleshooting tips regarding crashing issues here ...

Hello everyone! Has anyone experienced the same error I have after the update? After launching the game it shows an error saying "error found in ACE components"

Hi, you need to hit yes on the new prompt that mentions "SGuardUpdate when launching the game.

I haven’t played for a month. Downloaded the new season last night. Kept crashing on Taego. Verified files. Five needed updating. It did another 3 GB download then all ok.

It has been working fine u til yesterday’s patch

That sounds like a corrupt file occurring due to a faulty update download. Something may have happened during the download/installation of the update which caused a game file to go corrupt which would explain crashing. The first troubleshooting step would be to verify the game file integrity. If the issues continue and no file corruptions are found through that check then you should check out further troubleshooting steps in the link I've shared in my other reply here.

It's OK. The thing is.... it's really questionable that it replaced Vikendi after like 4 weeks of it being in rotation. Meanwhile the vast majority of comments on this subreddit's post about the 18.1 patch notes were complaints about how you are shafting Vikendi constantly and yet none of you community managers showed up in that thread. That was the easy part and you all didn't even do that. Much less actually passing on the reddit community's overwhelming concern over to the live team in order to actually give the players what they want upon 18.1's release.

So yea. The Paramo map changes don't matter. In the slightest. It's the company's shitty unfounded unpopular unjustified map pool decisions.

It's a f**kton easier to cheer on the peepos getting their first win than it is to address the glaring problems the players have with your company's decisions, but isn't the latter supposed to be your job?

This is a long shot but I, and I'm sure many vet players would really, REALLY like an option to turn off all the new UI doodads like the grenade cook counter and even the 3D ping markers. I get why you're adding them, but I just don't want that crap on my screen, it's more distracting than anything. So it would be amazing to be able to just have settings to turn them off for anyone who doesn't want them!

Hey Rabbitical, thanks for the feedback. Yup, that's totally fair. Will forward the feedback!

What updates did Paramo get?

It's a minor update that brought some terrain changes / new objects to hide behind in areas that were deemed a bit too open.

Just got a chicken dinner on my first map after update and it was my first ever Paramo as well.

Grats dude! How are you liking the map?
