Hey towbieee, thanks for sharing your feedback. There are no present plans to work on a feature like that. We are sharing all your feedback with the dev team though.

Hey, this will be added in a future update!

Can't you guys chnage the available maps based on region? From what I've seen and heard, sanhok is far behind vikendi in popularity in NA and probably EU. Does the data in those regions reflect that too?

We have brought up those suggestions in the past. The concern and reason why there are no region specific random matchmaking map pools is because in the event of a map receiving an update, whether it be new content, terrain changes, you name it, only some if any regions may end up seeing that.

Example: The main focus of an upcoming update is a overhaul of some key areas on X map, a new vehicle and a weapon. And you have 2 regions in the world with that map available at the time, the rest of the regions would essentially not get to enjoy the monthly update. And with maps evolving and new content being released on a monthly basis, this would be inevitable.

has pubg every considered selecting maps for rotation based on region? If theyre already looking at map numbers globally, they obviously have regional numbers as well, which means that pubg knows NA/EU prefer different maps than AS/KR.

I understand this but why can't Vikendi be a static map in place of Sanhok I think is the sentiment. Personally I dont mind sanhok as much as others but it seems pretty apparant that everyone everyone feels Vikendi > Sanhok

Reposting my earlier comment reply that I hope will offer some more insight into how feedback / decisions based on player feedback work:

Let me preface by saying that PUBG: Battlegrounds is a global game, played by players in regions across the world and with that in mind, every change, every decision that is made, affects players all around the world.

While the feedback is very much appreciated, requests from one group of players within one community platform in one region do not always represent the global sentiment. Feedback is not always unanimous, or commonly shared among majority of regions or common among majority of players within a region. Ultimately, the game designers are the ones who make decisions on the game's design. Those decisions can and have been influenced by community feedback in the past, and will continue to be influenced in the future. The goal is to provide the best experience to as many players as possible.

There are thousands of c...

If there were 2 rotating maps instead of one, the longest anyone would have to wait for a map they want will only be 3 months instead of the 5 that will happen when the new map gets released. Only 1 rotating map is a huge waste of all of the other maps for most of each year.

Thanks, I like that idea, personally. I believe there is room for improvement. Thanks for sharing your feedback.

We are continuing to monitor sentiment on all of this and will be making changes if / where needed.

On the 18.1 Patch Note reddit thread, 13 of the 15 top most upvoted comments were about why Vikendi was being removed after just being reimplemented while Sanhok stays in as permanent. The other two of those comments were literally "meh" and "Sooo..Nothing really?". Combined with no community managers appearing in the thread addressing these NA/EU "invested" players' concerns, saying you're continuing to monitor sentiment and make changes sounds like bull tbh.

Secondly, you say the new plan is to have 4 maps static and have the other 4 current maps rotate out every 4 weeks. Half of the maps are therefore not playable for 3/4 of the time. I'm betting a lot of players, including myself, have their favorite maps sitting in the "rotated map" pool and you guys are just cool with us only getting to play our favorites for max 3 months of t...

There is a dev letter from around the time Taego released. It said something along the lines of large maps will be static. When Kiki (8x8) releases, according to that letter, it will be the forth static map. So Erangel, Miramar, Taego and KiKi. All other maps will be rotators, including Sanhok.

Can you confirm u/SteveTheHappyWhale ?

No info to share yet regarding the map service plan. Any changes to it will be communicated via our official channels through patch notes etc.
