If you're playing through Steam, please first make sure that your Steam account is properly linked to your Ubisoft account. Then, make sure you're logged into both your Steam account and the Ubisoft account. From there, you'll want to make sure that Windows and all of your drivers are updated to the latest version, and you may be required to verify the integrity of the game files on Steam and Uplay. From here, perform the steps listed in this article and this will disable anything running on the background of your system that may be interfering with the game's launch. If this does not resolve what you are experiencing, submit your system files to our team so that we can go over everything and determine what the root of the problem may be and advise you on how to proceed from there.

Hey Brandon,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty getting the game to run. First can you go through all of the steps here to see if any fix this issue for you: https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/0...oubleshooting/

Also please check your GPU drivers version and if it is dated to when the issue started, try to revert it to see if this helps.

Let me know how it goes.

Hey man,

If you haven't already, can you please try the steps here?

Hi potato_gurl2424. Welcome to the forums! I apologize for any frustration with launching Siege. Can you provide if you get any kind of error message? I checked your account and did see you do own the game through Steam. Can you confirm that your PC meets the minimum requirements? What are your PC specs like?

Let me know if Spero83's recommendation helps. Please also try installing Uplay's latest version and running Uplay as admin!

It seems this is not limited to Bitdefender, would it be possible for testing purposes to try with your antivirus off. We will then know for sure if this is the cause

Hey Kamehameha.....,

Sorry to hear this, if you use a different antivirus would it be possible for testing purposes to try running the game with your antivirus switched off?

Depending on your antivirus you may be able to set rules on your antivirus firewall allowing you access with it on.

Great to here we have been able to identify this as the solution

Hey everyone!

Firstly, just wanna let you know that I did merge multiple threads into this one big one to keep everything in one place.

Thanks your all your reports and sharing of workarounds.

This has been forwarded to the relevant team for investigation. In the meantime, please check if Rainbow Six and Uplay are whitelisted in your antivirus software.

Please note that we would advise against disabling your antivirus, even if this could be the cause of the issue. You could temporarily disable this for testing, but please make sure you re-enable it afterwards.

If you still have issues which does not seem to relate to your antivirus, please check this article. If you still have issues after doing the steps in the article, at the bottom it explains how to create a ticket with system files so we can assist further.

Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I have merged several threads into this one. As mentioned above, our teams are actively working on resolving this situation.

In the meantime, please check if Rainbow Six and Uplay are whitelisted in your antivirus software.

Please note that we would advise against disabling your antivirus, even if this could be the cause of the issue. You could temporarily disable this for testing, but please make sure you re-enable it afterwards.

If your launching issue is not related to your antivirus, please try the steps in this article. If you still have issues after doing those steps, please follow the steps at the bottom on creating a ticket and providing us system files so we can look into it further with you.

Thanks!

Hey, folks!

If adding the game to the whitelist did not work you can also try the additional steps here:

Run the game with ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS.

Verify your game files.
It is possible that the installation of your game is faulty. To fix this, please verify your game files:

UPLAY
EPIC GAMES LAUNCHER
STEAM

Disable Background Applications.

Make sure your OPERATING SYSTEM is UP TO DATE.

Reinstall Uplay.

Update your GPU Drivers:

AMD
NVIDIA

Should the issues persist after completing the above steps, please GET IN TOUCH, attaching DXDIAG and MSINFO reports to your SUPPORT CASE.

Thank you.

Hey there folks.

We've identified the cause for the antivirus issue causing the game to crash or fail to launch.Keep an eye on the forums and on the Siege twitter account for updates, as soon as we can confirm a date/time for a patch going live we'll do so. I do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue in the meantime.
