Greetings, Spacefarer!
We've been working on improving the Alpha 10 version of Space Haven and we also have an exciting new feature implemented. Ship-to-Ship battles now come with music fitting the scene, giving ship battles that nice space battle feel.

The Jammer seems to have a bug in 0.10.1, whereby when turning it off by setting the charge command to off in the attack systems menu, it will not turn back on anymore. Rebuild it to solve the issue.

The current build in the experimental branch has this fixed.

It's available! The "+" button up top left next to the ship selection button creates new ships. Different types of canvases can be chosen there.

You can also swap out the default one at the mining station start using the same method and build a 1x3 instead.

I had an issue on e where I couldn't put L shaped or U shaped couches in corners, are those considered wall mounts? I had nothing blocking the corner.

Also, another question, if I play the experimental build with a new save but don't load up my stable build saves, will they still be stable after this experimental build is pushed to production?

Hi!

Couches are not wall mounts, rather it's the power node, the thermal regulator and the lights which can be placed on a wall =)

Here's what's new in Alpha 10 - Version 0.10.2:

There's an endless amount of galaxies to explore if you want, it doesn't stop at one. The trick is to keep jumping forward and seeking out critical resources at a pace, which minimizes the risk to run out completely.

Actually, if you have two ships you will be burning more energium. That's part of the challenge. =)

Spooky Halloween!

We've got a small update for Space Haven today, check out the patch notes below:

  • Reduced the amount of CO2 needed for plants.
  • Reduced the amount of water vapor released by plants. * Fixed Android ship not having power linked to their bridge.
  • Added missing model names for X1 Power Generator and X1 Hyperdrive.
  • CO2 Producer produces more CO2 per carbon unit.
  • Added different station symbols to the legend in starmap.
  • Small graphical improvements.
  • Fixed bugs.

It is not scrapped, but we cannot take on the challenges regarding mobile at the time. We simply do not have the resources for it.

It makes the most sense to focus on developing the game on the current platforms, and then one day when the opportunity presents itself see about other platforms.

We did not plan for it all to take this long, to still be in a stage where we will develop the game for a good amount of time, but we're happy to say it was worth it =) The game simply needs that kind of time, it is that type of a game.

You can try loading the Alpha 9 save and continue playing, but there's probably multiple issues. You'd need to start researching to be able to unlock many of the facilities you already have, and you'd need to travel to a new galaxy to get the new starmap.

It is highly recommended to start a new game.
