Summary of the issue: When trying to put one coffee bean into a keg it says "5 fasulye gerekir". It is a wrong translation. "Bean" is fasulye yes. But the one intended is "coffee bean" and it translates to "Kahve Çekirdeği". So it should be either "5 çekirdek gerekir" or "5 kahve çekirdeği gerekir"

What was going on in the game when you encountered it: Tried to put one coffee bean into a keg.

Thanks

Summary of Issue: As you can see in the picture, when you click on the tomb in the upper right of the cemetery, the text is written in a different language than the Turkish language.

That's intentional! It's part of the game for every language

well, the translation is supposed to take place of "hit"

"kancalı" means "hooked", but more like "with hook" than "got hooked"

"oltada" means "on the rod", but in Turkish it sounds naturally closer to "got hooked"

Got it. Thanks!

Hi, this beta version is on Steam only, so it won't have any affect on the Switch at all. Yes, you can still play in English on the Switch!

Also, you should add Turkish characters (ğ, ç, ş, ı, ü, ö) to the in-game font. They appear in Arial.

Thanks for the reports. I did add those characters to the font, so I'll have to see why they aren't showing up. Also, could you tell me what the english translations for KANCALI and OTALDA are?

Hi everyone,

The beta for French, Turkish, Italian, Hungarian and Korean is here. If you speak any of those languages, and want to help me find bugs, typos, or even just give feedback on the new text, it would be a big favor and I'd really appreciate it!

To access the current beta version of Stardew Valley:

  • Right click on Stardew Valley in your games library and select "Properties"
  • Click the "Betas" tab
  • Click the drop down menu and select "beta" (no password is necessary)
  • Steam will download the beta version. Stardew Valley should now have a [beta] tag in your library.

While it's very unlikely that playing the beta version will threaten your save files, I recommend backing them up anyway. Your save files can be found in the "%appdata%/StardewValley/Saves" folder (on PC).

If you have any feedback or bug reports, please use ... Read more

Hi everyone,

Update: The new languages are now live on Steam/GOG. Thanks to everyone who helped me test out the beta.

Regardless, the fact of the matter and the biggest problem, is that he is even limited in the first place. If I was him with this knowledge that he has posted about the limitations of the Switch port, I would go and contact u/ConcernedApe and let him know of this issue so that he can let the devs of the Switch port know about it, and they can fix it. Because if it's affected him, it's likely to affect others.

I've passed this on to Sickhead Games... thanks

Hi everyone,

There's a very small patch going live today, which fixes a couple of bugs and improves performance in certain situations:

Changes:
*Improved performance in locations with lots of light sources (e.g. torches).
*Improved performance on farms with lots of animals.
*Tweaked new "H" health icon.

Bug fixes:
*Fixed multiplayer visual glitch when another player uses a tool and then starts moving in a new direction.
*Fixed "fishing stance" visual glitches in multiplayer.

Just wanted to let you know. There will also be a beta for the new languages (French, Korean, Turkish, Italian, and possibly one more) soon. I'm also working on a new free content update (1.4) as well, which should be ready some time in the next few months.

Thanks for playing Stardew Valley!

But look, CA is looking for 3 years of game dev experience, which is much less than what it took him to get Stardew Valley done. This is not a case of "being better": you're only programming in your spare time, of course you're going to jump between ideas and projects! Frankly, the offer seems to target a very small core of experienced programmers in the games industry.

Heck, I'm a programmer in said industry now, I'm pretty confident with C# and my abilities but I can't claim 3+ years of game dev so I won't apply - even though it'd be the dream!

Hey, if you feel confident in your abilities, but don't have 3+ years, I encourage you to apply anyway. Ultimately, I just want to find people who are right for the job.

Hi everyone,

I mentioned in my last post that I’ll be forming a small team to help me continue expanding and maintaining Stardew Valley. Links to the official job postings can be found below, and I’ll update them with the new ones when they’re available:

I appreciate everyone taking their time to apply!
